Pros: There are numerous opportunities for placement and learning. It is a good program.learning environment with very supportive seniors. large number of extra-curricular activities. Cons: The administration is not that good. Fees are an obstacle for some middle-class families.

Maximum courses were very old during my time. With the advancement in technology, the course curriculum has now been modified and students can now gain more skills and learn about new technologies that are being used by big firms. Exams are categorized into mid-semester and end-semester. And the overall passing mark is 40% per subject.

The placement here is on par with that of any top NIT. Every year, more than 150 companies visit the campus for placement. Top IT companies like to visit here. These companies come for internships as well as full-time offers. Many students here end up with more than one job offer. These placement stats are only for CSE, IT, and ECE.

Every year they conduct one tech fest named Pantheon, one cultural fest named Bitotsav, and one sports fest named Vajra. Aside from these, an annual athletics meet is held. Various clubs keep on conducting various workshops and organizing events in which students can participate and show off their talent.

Its fee structure is a bit expensive, but they provide various forms of scholarships for economically backward students. Fees keep increasing with every passing year, and students who belong to middle-class families will have to struggle a bit to deposit fees without taking out loans.

There is one G.P. Birla scholarship award for students in all the categories who are economically backward. This scholarship is purely based on merit. All the students need to apply with the proper documents and original marksheets from the previous semester. The university shortlists students and gives scholarships up to 100% of education fees.

The Institute has many cultural clubs related to dance, music, photography, drama, etc. They keep on motivating the students to take part in it. The labs are very good, and the assistants are always there to help and guide. They have a gym which is filled with all new equipment and a very large sports complex for all types of games like football, volleyball, basketball, cricket, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton etc.

The hostel is mandatory for every student perusing a bachelor's course there. The hostel is in good condition and has many facilities like TV, indoor games, outdoor games, water coolers, etc. They give a single room to each boy from the 2nd year onwards.

They have a strong alumni base, with the majority of them holding higher-level positions and a few serving as CEOs. They keep on visiting the campus and motivating the students. College seniors are the best here. They support their fellow juniors and keep on guiding. They arrange informal sessions and give suggestions on what to do for better placements and CGPA. They are very cooperative. There is no culture of "sir" or "madam."

Admission to BE/B Tech courses at Mesra is solely based on JEE mains rank. Counselling is done through JOSAA. Seats are allotted to different categories on the basis of merit. Students who have been allotted a seat need to do the document verification and take admission.

A very small number of faculties are very hard-working and consistently try to increase the level of education. They encourage the practical application of knowledge and arouse interest in the subject. A few faculty members are extremely friendly and supportive, both financially and morally.
