Remarks
The college is over all good but lacks in technical aspects, being an Indian institute of technology, it only focuses on cultural aspects and over looks technical aspects, and i being a developer, finds it annoying. everything is good except this particular trait of technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
perfectly balanced. my subject being mathematics and Conputing, we are taught two subjects of computers which includes one in competitive programming, and second in computer designing, and three mathematics subjects. also practical subject of both the computer subjects
Placement Experience
around 100+ conpanies come to college for placements and takes almost 60% students. in the pre final year, conpanies arrive and provide internship opportunity to all the students, and in final year, they provide in hand placements.
College Events
there are three fest in out college, first being khanan organized by mining department of our college, second being concetto which is the technological management fest, then srijan which is the main cultural fest of our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
expensive when you consider this college being a government organization. The tution fees is 2 lakh per annum, and then additional 50000 for hostel, mess, security. apart from that, around 10 thousand for our own expenses per month
Fees and Financial Aid
there are 20+ scholarship provided to some sections of community based on caste and branch. merit cum scholarship is the only scholarship open to all and ensures full grant in tution fees. The college also provides loan at half the rate than other colleges.
Campus Life
There is hell lot of scope in extracurricular activities. we have students activity center which contains rooms for all the clubs you can imagine, there are two football grounds, two basketball grounds and tennis 4 court per hostel. College also provides full fledged funding to all the clubs.
Hostel Facilities
we are given three different hostels throughout our graduation. in the first year, we have jasper hostel, then amber and then sapphire, each being better amd more spacious than previous. infrastructure is good too.
Alumni/Alumna
the alumini network is extremely strong in our college and there is a fest for them where 50 year old alumini come in our college and help students with their problems and provide internship opportunity to them in their own conpanies.
Admission
we gave two exams, Jee Main for qualifying for the toughest exam, Jee Advanced. Then qualified jee advanced to get admission in IIT. Then there was a month long counselling process where i had to fill up the college preference.
Faculty
Average faculty with some very experienced professors. Some professors are very well experienced and teach excellently and provide in depth knowledge of the subject while others are below average and makes the subject boring
