Remarks
The only thing in which the campus lacks is its area. The campus area is so small. Though the infrastructure is nice. Overall, it is a real nice college. Being a final year student I would strongly recommend all my juniors to go for MAIT if they are looking for admission in IPU
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 5 streams in B.Tech: CSE, IT, ECE, EEE and MAE. The curriculum is very sorted. All our subjects consist of 4 units. Each semester consists of 2 internal exams, internal and external practical exams and external theory exam. The internal exams are taken from 2 out of 4 units. The curriculum designed for the development of students. After the first year, students are taken for industrial visits time-by-time.
Placement Experience
This college has one of the best placement cells. A lot of companies visit our college like Infosys, ZS Associates, Amazon, Delloite, Libsys etc. These companies take the Online test as their first screening process. Then after selecting students, different interview rounds take place before the final list. Around 80% of students get placed every year. Different seminars are organized by the college from time to time to prepare students for placements.
College Events
The main fest of MAIT is Techsurge n Mridang. It's a cultural-techno fest organised every year in the month of Feb-march. A lot of events are organized in this 2 days fest. Students from different streams take part in events as volunteers and coordinators. Participation certificates are also provided after the fests which help in maintaining profiles.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees in all the IPU colleges are the same. The fees for B. Tech course for one year is Rs 1,15,700.00 excluding hostel charges. Hostels are quite costly. One has to pay 1 lakh+ for hostels. Although hostels aren't compulsory. Students can take rooms or PGs which are at a walking distance from the college. The mode of payments is DD, NEFT, RTGS etc. The breakdown of fees os already mentioned on their site.
Fees and Financial Aid
To support middle-class families, the college provides scholarships to students whose salary is below 5 lakh. You can contact the accounts department to apply for the same.
Campus Life
The gender ratio of MAIT is so balanced. You'll see equal no. Of boys and girls in this college. There is no political party or student union in our college. The college environment is nice. One can see a lot of happy faces while going through the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni meets are organized in our college from time to time. Sometimes achiever alumni are also invited for giving knowledge and guidance to students. Seniors are also quite friendly.
Admission
I applied for IPU CET to get into this college. I got 3059 ranks but being a student from outside Delhi, it took a lot of counselling rounds to get into this college. Nowadays, one can get admission in IPU through JEE Mains only. The most important aspect of this college is the placement cell. This college has one of the best placement cells. A lot of companies visit our college like Infosys, ZS Associates, Amazon, Delloite, Libsys etc. Other than that the infrastructure of MAIT is best in the whole IPU affiliated colleges.
Faculty
The faculty members of our college are very friendly. One can also meet them personally to clear their doubts. All the faculty members are well qualified. Some of them are PhD and some of them are still doing research in their respective fields. Around 4-5 lectures are taken by faculties in one day and at least one lab is also conducted every day.
