Remarks
College is very good, offering a cost effective education to students, With a lot of scholarships. Faculty is nice. Students chill mostly in the canteen, it's a big canteen and can easily accommodate 100's of students. Overall it's a nice atmosphere mostly kids from nice background come to the college so the crowd is very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have 8 semester, each having a duration of nearly 6 months. Academic year starts from July and ends in June. In a year we have 2 semester so total it's. 4 year course. First year is common for all stream students and they study the same subjects, from second year onwards professional course subjects are introduced. Practicals are also given a good weightage, semester assessment is a combination of term work, term test, end semester exams and practical exams. Written end semester exams are of 80 marks, practicals carry 25 marks and term work carry another 25 and term test carry 20 marks.
Placement Experience
No my college don't provide much internship opportunities. Students have to arrange intership by themselves. Placement cell is constituted in the college which works effectively to get the maximum students placed but most of the placement come in IT and computer sector so core branches such as mechanical and civil are struggling
College Events
A RAYS fest is organised every year by the student council of the college. Students actively participate in that. Other days such as cultural day, traditional day, miss match day, suits day, blazers day all are celebrated. Sports fest are also organised for giving more importance on physical activities also.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's feasible, i can say least fees is aid by students of Rizvi college than any other college students. We pay only about total of 70k to 75k a yearly as our fees which includes all the charges such as tution fee, admission fee, form fee, examination fee, internet charges and all other extra charges included. In mumbai this is the least fee offered by any colleg.
Fees and Financial Aid
My College offers muslim minorities scholarship schemes in which almost half of the fees of the student is refunded back. EBC scholarship is also offered fof poor student who can't afford high fees, in this case also half of the fees is cancelled. There is no loan facility offered by the college as per my information yet
Campus Life
Labs are all well equipped with all the modern day technology and infrastructure. computer labs, mechanical lab, automobile lab etc all mind of labs are present for students to do their practical jobs. College don't have its own sports ground and students have to play on the government grounds far away from the college. Rizvi college have one of the best cricket and football team in mumbai University.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very helpful, they visit the college regularly help the students if they have any doubts. They party with them. Provide them the right guidelines to become successful and get placed in good companies. It's a good old network of alumnus.
Admission
After my class 12th i gave MH-CET entrance exam for admission in engineering courses across maharashtra state, students can also give JEE to get admission which is a national level exam but i preferred MH-CET. After getting the entrance examination result and my overall rank i applied for different colleges and courses and was allotted Rizvi college in the first round of counseling.
Faculty
Faculty of college is very supportive, HODs of each department and principle of the college helps the students in any problem they have. They go out of the box to introduce new ideas of studies. Practical labs are well equipped and professors help the students to understand each and every aspect clearly. Students can go to them anytime if they have any doubt or can mail them or call them.
