Remarks
IIT (ISM) is in the top 10 ranked technical College of India and we usually know dream of each and every science student of India is IITs ,so from my point of view my college is one of the best colleges in India.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course was 4yrs B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering but there are different course curriculum of 4yrs and even 5 years dual degree program like CSE,ME,PE,EE,ECE,EIE,CIV,MME etc. The exam structure was semester wise i.e.,mid semester of 30% and end semester of 60% and internal(attendance+assignment) of 10%.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities of all IITs are good. IIT(ISM) DHANBAD has average placement % around 80-85%. Internship offer are been provided in our college in 3rd year(at the end of 5th sem). Stipend of different companies are different mainly highest stipend are provided to CSE branch student then PE and no of internship offer is highest for CSE students.
College Events
There are different type of event almost every week in a year celebrated in our college, mainly divided on the basis of technical fest, cultural fest,sports fest etc. Technical fest - Concetto Cultural fest- Srijan, Pratibimb,Prakram,Inter IIT cultural fest Sports fest- Annual sports ,INTER IIT Sports meets
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible for good academic performing students because scholarship name MCM Scholarship i.e.,Merit-cum-means scholarship is provided to top 25% student from each year but it has also certain constriction of parental income i.e., Annual income of parents should be less than Rs 6,00,000 and this MCM scholarship is generally for general and OBC category students.

Campus Life
There are different clubs for different extracurricular activities, sports,music,dance,gym and for different sports there are different courts like badminton court,2 grounds upper ground for cricket and lower ground mainly for football , athelete like 100m race,400m ,800m race,March past and also for cultural fest.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is necessary for all students except for local students and the fees for hostel is Rs 15000/- per semester i.e., total Rs 30000/- per year. And hostels are divided into two categories girls hostel and boys hostel and further it is divided year wise for different year student.
Alumni/Alumna
For Alumni network and senior students and college students there is also a fest known as "BASANT" which is generally celebrated in the first week of February every year.On Basant every year pass-out or Alumni of different year come and communicate with college students and share there ideas and there experience.
Admission
IIT (ISM), DHANBAD is a centrally funded institution,The admission process of IITs are through the exam JEE ADVANCED and on the basis of exam general and category based rank merit list is released and then the counselling process is conducted by JOSAA.
Faculty
The faculty of IITs are not been best of all the branch but some branch have best quality faculty in the world. In my college IIT(ISM) DHANBAD best faculty was of Maths department, Petroleum Department,Mining Engineering , computer science, Mining machinery Engineering.
