Its really far from the city, some teaching faculty teach a subject they have no idea about, really strict on attendance, students have to visit the other PES campus for placements. Some teaching faculty are good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for computer science engineering in my college is pretty outdated, since it is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The internal test is a written test which is conducted for 20 marks and externals exam carries 80 marks.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are good only for computer science engineering and information science engineering, but top tier companies do not hire from our college since our curriculum does not allow us to do an internship for 6 month during the final semester. No, our college does not provide internship.
College Events
Maaya, an annual intercollegiate fest held annually during the odd semesters. inGenious, a 24 hour hackathon with domains from the computer field, conducted by the computer science department. Kludge,a 24 hour hackathon with domains from the electronics field, conducted by the electronics and communication department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure depends on the mode of admission. It is feasible for CET and Comed-k students, it costs around 70k per year for cet students and 2 lakhs per year for Comed-k students. It is pretty expensive for students joining through management quota.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Karnataka government provides loan facility for Other Backward caste, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. It also provides scholarships to meritorious students from the above categories.
Campus Life
There is a gym, library, basketball court and football ground in the college. An annual inter-collegiate sport event is hosted by our college. There is not much extracurricular activities in our college, and college days are dull except for a few events.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network and senior students are approachable and will answer any queries about placements, college and projects. The alumni also give an insight into companies they have been placed in. Senior students advise on academics.
Admission
I got a seat in this college through the CET quota. A test(Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority(KEA) across Karnataka and candidates are ranked based on their performance. Based on their rank, the candidates are allotted a college.
Faculty
The teaching faculty are pretty knowledgeable and can be approached during anytime in the college hours, but some teachers teach a subject they have no idea about due to shortage of faculty. The administrative staff are rude and arrogant.
