Remarks

Lots of politics Full of bengali teachers with bad pronunciation. Alumnai doesn't contribute to department or students in terms of money. In other IITs allumani are biggest donors. Not well connected with major cities.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is unique considering this is the only IIT offering this course. Other private colleges basically copy paste the syllabus of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. You will have to give 1 mid semester and 1 end semester examination apart from class test

Placement Experience

Placement- all the top companies nof petroleum recruits from here Internship- yes, although i was never a psrt of paid internship. Different companies recruit students for summer internship Top companies are.- ongc shclumerger, baker, cair india etc.

College Events

Srijian- annual cultural festival, held usualy in winter semester Basant- first week of February. It is annual ism allumnai get together. Concetto.- annual technical festival with events featuring from all the branches

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its feasible. Being IIT, fee are mostly decided by government Scholarship are provided if you are from economically weaker background. Apart from that other scholarship are also available which students can apppy for.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit cum scholarship. Be in top 25% of your batch to get fee is waiver. I had got it for 4 yr throughout my stay. You can also apply in allumani forums for assitance in trav grant for traveling outside india

Campus Life

Two separate grounds for outdoor sports and one designated building for all indoor sports as well different clubs and students society. A world class gym for student and also swimming pool. A separate gym is there for girl students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are hostel as any college in india. You won't have facility like five star hotel which is usually provided in expensive private colleges. However you would love the hostel experience. Food is average but eaidable

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumnai assosiation is very strong with many world leaders from this college. College holds many events for continuous interaction with allumnais. Seniors are there you to guide. Up to a new entrants to forge a strong relationship with the Senior.

Admission

You have to appear in IIT JEE examination. Petroleum engineering is often filled up fast as compared to other branches. So you should have comparatively better jee score as compared with other branches in this college

Best is the business considering it's a very specilaized branch. All the stream of petroleum engineering i. E. Drilling, reservoir, production are well covered asissted with laboratory and sinulation classes

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
