It is a good college- [NIT], Rourkela

Our College does not do changes of faculty often. Professors are superior here. Management hardly takes any action against them. As it is a government organization no one can suspend them if they intentionally ruin any student's career and the student fails to prove it.

In first-year students have to go through a common curriculum and from the second year, they would follow the curriculum of their respective department. In one semester two major exams are there. The first one is Mid sem which is conducted at the middle of the semester and another is End sem which is conducted at ending of the semester.

The placement percentage is pretty impressive. Every year all students of the CSE department get placed. Some of them get pretty high packages. Many tech giants come to our college to recruit engineers. Yes, our college provides internships. But I have not done it yet.

Innovision is a tech-fest that is celebrated every year. In this fest, many events are organized by college students. Students from other colleges can also participate in this event. But they have to register for it.

It costs 124000 for a normal student without any terms and conditions being applied. There are many fee waivers for socially backward students and economically weaker students. Thus fee is reduced in such schemes and it becomes feasible.

There are many scholarships for B.tech students here. I have applied for emedhabruti here. There is also an S.B.I bank inside the campus whose sole purpose is to provide loans for students. The bank makes the loan process really smooth.

There are many clubs for extracurricular activities. There are robotics clubs, dance clubs, coding clubs, social service clubs, underwater vehicle clubs, yoga clubs, music clubs, and bands. And they are quite active.

Hostel fee is affordable. The hostel in which I live is very good. Mess food is also quite satisfying. And hotel rooms are very comfortable. I love this hostel. It is a hostel of around 900 students. It has a garden also.

Yes, we have many alumni in Microsoft, Myntra, Qualcomm, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs. Yes, seniors are very helpful. They have also built a team to help and guide juniors in every problem in their life.

To get into this college you must have secured 75 % in the CBSE board or equivalent exam. Mine was the CHSE board and I was in the top 20 percentile of that board. So I was eligible for JEE main. I appeared in JEE main 2019 and was qualified in it. So I could join JOSAA and got a seat in the college.

They are good and supportive except electrical engineering department. They provide assignments on regular basis. They also send their teaching assistants in need when they are very busy with research works.
