The only negative remark is the location of the college. Approximately 45 kilometers away from Kolkata which is somewhat a disadvantage. The place also relies only in railway facility as no other mode of transport is much active in Adisaptagram.

The course structure to be precise is laborious and requires daily update of day to day study. The college is under the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (MAKAUT) and follows their exam pattern. There are 2 internal tests that are being conducted which comprises of 40% of the total marks and the semester (final) exam holds the weightage of the rest 60%. Also 1 Practical internal is conducted in the college which contributes 40% of the total marks and the final semester practical exam holds rest of the 60%. Also in between Term paper assignments and daily update of Lab work needs to be maintained.

The placement scenario is quite good in the current years. With allover 89% placements, the college stands as one the premier engineering colleges in West Bengal although being 45kms away from Kolkata. The placement cell is quite active and brings IT and core companies in every year.

Event 1- REGATTA- The fresher's event of the college. 3 hours of full enjoyment under the guidance of 2nd year Seniors. Event 2- ARCADIA- The Main cultural event of the college where famous celebrities from Bollywood are invited to perform live. Event 3- CONCORDIA- If you are a hosteller then you can enjoy this event wholeheartedly. This is the farewell program where 4th year Senior are said goodbye from the college. Event 4- VISWAKARMA PUJA- The holy festival is celebrated in the Mechanical Department of the college and arranged by the college.

The fees structure is 40,000 rupees approx per semester and if you are a hostel boarder then separate 12,000 needs to be paid per semester(which is 2000 rupees per month). Also an Industrial training fee of 10,000 rupees needs to be paid once in a year.

The college does not offers any loan facility. You have to apply in the bank for loan purpose. But the college has a tie up with Bank Of India. It will be easier to get loan in the respective bank for loan in this college. Also TFW(Tution Fee Waiver) facility is available for the below poverty line students in which the semester fee is relatively much lower.

The labs in the college are well equipped and the devices in the college are good with well working condition. There is a basketball court present in between the college where the students can get training from coach. Same in case of football and basketball. Apart from that the college also participates in various inter-college championships. Separate tournament such as Futsal, Cricket tournament are organized by the hostel.

The hostel is fair if compared with other colleges under MAKAUT. The infrastructure is good with 3 bathrooms in a floor, free WiFi facility, mess facility. The hostel also has various recreation such as Carrom, Table tennis board etc.

The seniors are very helpful and cooperative. If you are a hosteller then the bond between seniors and juniors are much more strong. Sometimes alumni also visits the college and seminars are conducted where the speaker gives educational and motivational speech to the students.

I appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination in the year 2018 and secured a rank of 108114. Then I took part in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) Counselling and I was allotted Electronics and Communication engineering in Academy Of Technology in the very first round!

We can find many experienced faculty in each and every department. The faculties are cooperative and helpful. Sometimes in certain subjects the respective teacher may fail to complete the syllabus but 80-90% of it is always covered.
