Best professors also they’re very chill

A great college to enjoy college life and go on trips and make good friends for life. Good professors and campus too

Course curriculum follows the VTU board. All labs are according to that. The electives are better like PLC and renewable energy as they are new topics. Other than that, the syllabus followed us old. The exam structure is followed by CBCS patter of VTU.

I was placed in two companies. Mphasis and Wipro technologies. Not many core companies visited our campus but we were allowed to attend placements at NIE main campus

We had cultural every year without fail, followed by ethnic day, funky day, technical events day, arts and crafts, cooking and a lot of cultural events. Many colleges participate from south India too. We also were a part of IEEE and entrepreneurship cell. Many interactive sessions were held in our college as well as other colleges in Mysore and Bangalore

The fee structure is very feasible. For the CET quota, the fees was 50000 and for other reservations category it was 18000. The management fee was around 75000 per year. It is very feasible for all the activities and 15acre campus. No other expenses were there apart from books and print outs. Exam fee had to be paid one month prior for VTU

I dint opt for any scholarship but the SC/ST students were given a considerable amount per year of 50000approx for the student's expenditure. And the toppers were also awarded and given a cash prize

Campus life is very good. Attendance is not all that strict. There are many engaging activities on a daily basis. We had a 60:40 ratio of boy and girls in EEE. Fresher parties were hosted every year for juniors and a lot of hands-on workshops like Quadcopter and robotics and simulators. A lot of South Indians, basically from Mysore only.

The hostel facilities are amazing. Best hostel. The food was not that good on a few days but bearable. It’s an all veg hostel. The timings for the hostel was 8:30 pm. All facilities were provided including hot water 24/7, power backup, wardrobes and 3 sharing or single sharing. Mess area to cook and garden area was provided. Parking is also there

Not a lot of alumni groups in college. No interaction as such. It might be with Nie college but nothing as of now

CET process. First applied online for the college and got the electrical branch. Later I had to go for the last formalities to college. It was very quick and hassle free. Had to submit our 10th, 12th and TC and other valid ID proofs. Later, the hostel accommodation was given at NIE girls hostel, Yuvika. Best hostel and good food.

Faculty is very supportive, either in technical or non technical areas. They even made tough subjects fun and easy. Things like exhibitions and tech talks were hosted often to motivate us. Also they encouraged us in writing technical papers at very young age of 19-20
