My College Review

The college has overall good facilities and infrastructure. Smart classroom and well equipped practical labs are there. In terms of extracurricular activities the college has some groups like cultural and sports groups. Events like annual fest, sports meet, and regular business workshops are organized.

The course curriculum is in line with the AICTE design course curriculum. Exams are held in a semester-wise manner within between mid tests. Theory and practical exams are held as a part of the end semester examination. For the first two semesters, we studied a general MBA and then I opted for a specialization in marketing. Overall the syllabus is as per the demand for a business course.

The placement rate in our college is very good as a good number of companies visit every year for campus placement. The highest package for our program, go as high as 10 LPA, while on average students stand a chance to secure a package of 4 LPA. In terms of internship, one has to obtain an internship certificate on their own as college is not providing any internship from its side. One can easily get an internship based on the reputation of the college.

The fee of the college is in line of any private b-school. One has to pay around 2.25 lacs for a two-year MBA program in the college. The fee for the first year stands at around 1.1 lacs. Since the amount is high one can also apply for financial assistance in the face of loans or scholarships. The fees are though less than that of IIMs.

The scholarship is offered by the Gujarat state government to meritorious student. Central Government also offers scholarships to students through the National Scholarship Portal. The college also offers concession to meritorious students in the fee. The facility of educational loans can be availed by any student from private sector or a public sector bank. I applied for an educational loan in Punjab National Bank.

I wanted to pursue an MBA course so I sat for the CAT examination. Based on my CAT score I applied to the college as this is one is near my hometown. I was called for an interview and a GD round. On qualifying the interview and GD round I was granted admission in the MBA program of the college. The entire admission process was smooth enough.

The faculty of our college is very well experienced. Most of the teachers have Ph D. in their respective domains. They also have a very good knowledge of marketing stocks and economics. They guide us to learn and grasp things in a practical way rather than going for just memorizing things. Apart from the regular class timing they are open to clearing our doubts after the classes well.
