Remarks
It is a good college for all the extrovert and ambivert students, If you want to make your graduation years memorable, this is the college to get into.
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is good if u are genuinely interested in studying. I don't think it is necessary research-driven, but yes, it will provide good opportunities for you. The extracurricular activities which the college conducts are, I think, the USP of the institute, though I'm not sure they are still doing the same. These activities certainly helped me grow my confidence in public speaking, and overcome my communication issues.
Placement Experience
Many students are not getting placements because students are taking it seriously, though the college is providing facilities and help, Those who are interested are getting placements. Some students get paid internships as well. I had done my internship at Spicer India Pvt. Ltd., Karnataka. I got a stipend of 8000 per month. The recruitment process generally includes aptitude test, followed by Group Discussion and Personal interview. Some companies directly take interviews. And yes, the college organized a special workshop for students to prepare them for placements.
College Events
The students are not serious enough. The environment is not good for studious students. But, so many extracurricular activities are continuously happening, which I think is a plus point. 4-5 activities are happing every week. The college environment is happening. But, there are no playground fr students. All the major events are celebrated in the college like Makar Sankranti, shivjayanti, annual festival Antaragni, one of the biggest college festivals in Nagpur.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Annual fees is around 1.5 lacs. I think, it is feasible as compared to other colleges in Nagpur. You can pay the fees online. Also, you can use debit cards, credit cards, cheques. There is a bank available in the college, You can pay there as well. Yes, the receipt includes how much fees the institute is charging for what purposes. No, need to pay anything extra to secure admission provided your grades are good enough. The college also provides direct admission through management quota for a certain number of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't take any scholarship from the institute. The institute can help you in getting a loan from any bank in which you have your account.
Campus Life
Campus life is really great and happening, as I mentioned earlier, NO PLAYGROUND, only indoor games. So many extracurricular activities. The gender ratio is approx. 4:5, four were girls and 5 being boys. So many student clubs like music club, sports club, placement committee, etc. All the outdoor games/competitions happen on the ground of RTMNU NAGPUR university. Games include cricket, badminton, handball, kabaddi, football, table tennis, pool, etc. The institute regularly organizes competitions like debate, paper presentation, robotics, creative arts. It also has clubs like NSS team, E-cell, Etc. So overall great package.
Alumni/Alumna
As I was an introvert student, I didn't really have any friends from a senior level. But yes they are helpful. The Alumni network is also good. Lopamudra Raut, Big Boss fame, is also from my college making mark in the entertainment industry. Some alumni are doing great work in the technology field. Some are working with Google, Facebook, etc. but very few.
Admission
I was always interested in machines. so, I decided to do mechanical engineering. It's an autonomous college, which provides a timely updated syllabus for its students. First of all, you need to give an entrance test taken by either state govt. (CET) or CENTRAL govt. (JEE-MAINS). I gave JEE. After that, you have to register on the DTE website of Maharashtra state govt. to participate in the admission process, which will also consider your HSC OR 12TH percentage. You need to fill an option form college of your choice, and in the result, if you have grades good enough, you will be allotted a seat of GHRCE, NAGPUR. Then document verification and fees payment, simple. isn't it..!
Faculty
The teachers are helpful. but, they are not experienced enough to call them professors. All of them have a qualification up to M.TECH. except for 3-4 teachers who have done a doctorate. or a Ph.D. But, they don't really teach you because they are at a higher level like HOD or Dean, etc. They help you in your final year projects. The student to faculty ratio is 70:1. The students get industry exposure but just two times in a year which I don't think enough. But, as a part of the curriculum, you will have 6 months industry internship. The syllabus is advanced and they improve it every year.
