Remarks

Excellent, Best facilities in teaching they all are Cooperative and friendly, known for extra curriculum activities, i am very happy to be a part of the college. Thanks to all that makes makes my college life so much beautiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

All colleges of University of delhi work on the latest pattern and course as per UGC. Nowaday semester based exam pattern including sgpa system implied in the course in the respective college. Most of the under graduate course is 3 year program. Exam pattern is not only paper based but also including assignments, presentations public speaking and many more things.

Placement Experience

More than 100+companies visited to our college for recruitment like wipro, mahindra etc. Maximum package last year 2018-12lakhs. Many companies also visited to provide internship for atleast 6 months duration with stipend 8k-15k per month.

College Events

My college is one of the best known for extra curriculum activities among various colleges in university of delhi. In Sports like cricket always top on the list in university of delhi. NCC training and organizing related events are exclusive features of my college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, I graduated in 2018(b.com)and fee is 13500p.a my college is semi govt college. If we compared our course fee structure per year to any other colleges of the city , it is very negligible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, loans and scholarships are offered to the students but one who are eligible under certain criteria. Those who are belong to backward caste economically backward, SCs & STs. I think course fee is negligible so. Loans ans scholarships facility for those who finance very weak.

Campus Life

Excellent, biggest library of University of delhi. Big cricket ground , football ground. One of the important fact- atleast 50+ players got selected in national team in different sports. Annually fest organised and various speakers come time to time motivate the students.

Hostel Facilities

Sorry, In the University of delhi hostel option us based on merit list. One who get in merit only these students would be provided hostel facilities. And there is a few colleges which has such facilities. And according to merit list i am not eligible for the facilities. So i don't know more about that.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. Zero ragging i experienced in 3 year course personally. Alumni network is large in number. International cricketer Pravindra awana who belongs to alumni network of my college.

Admission

On the basis of merit list which was prepared on the basis of best four subjects of 12th standard. Various cut offs like first, second third and so on.released till the seats has to be filled.

Faculty

All the faculty of the college is Cooperative and friendly in nature. They always ready to help the student not only in subject related matters but also teach the lesson of changing life. Focus to fill the energy and inspiration among students.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I was given this college on the basis of the score in the CUET Exam which i gave after my 12th. It was a tough exam i would say because compiting with 20 Lac plus students for just a seat in DU is not an easy task. While preparing the prefference sheet and combinations for the college in the admission process was a confusing task. So i select all the cobinations of courses and colleges which i was eligible and then i also select my course and college, but i never thought that i would get it, still though i was happy that i get to study in one of the DU college. St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college. The cut-offs on which the admission matters had a massive difference in the kind of marks i had vs the actual cut-off of St Stephens.
