About my college

The course is great and exam structure is strict. The annual technical and cultural fests here are splendid. In the technical fest "Tryst", world class professors and technicians are invited. And the cultural fest "Rendezvous" is the biggest college fest in north India, with many stars like Vishal and Shekhar, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Arijit Singh performing in the fest in the last few years.

: I would rate 7 out of 10 for the placements of this college. Students are offered non-technical jobs. The placements are average as far as the tech jobs are concerned. Students of the computer science related branches like CSE, IT, SE, and MCE are offered many opportunities to get placed. They even get a six-figure package. The placements record of EE, ECE, and ME branches are average. Placements for the rest of the branches are below average

My name is himanshu, and I’m a senior in high school. I am a white female, non-minority. I am an Honor Roll Student with a 3.4 GPA, and SAT score of 1430. My college of choice is the University of Colorado-Boulder, intended major is biology, and career interest is medical research. I have a part-time job at McDonald’s, at least one of my parents is a police officer, our household income is $60,000, and I’m a resident of Colorado. I also have Multiple Sclerosis.

There are three floors in the hostel. For security two to four guards are there. Mess food is quite good here. Gaming facilities are available and gym facilities are also there. For entertainment there is television common for all. Good sanity.

I pay my fees and take admission in college Placement : There is a placement cell in IIT Delhi which is very helpful for both training and placement. The highest stipend offered for an internship is Rs. 4,81,000 per month. Last year, the highest package offered was 1.4 crores per annum, and around 90% of the students get placed from the computer science department. Infrastructure : The infrastructure of IIT Delhi is very good. We have Wi-Fi facility all over the campus, and there is a library which is open 24 hours. The college has a computer centre for students who don't have laptops. All the classrooms are air-conditioned, and labs are superb. The quality of the food offered in both the canteen and hostel is good. Hostels are good, and double or triple sharing rooms are available. Faculty : The student to faculty ratio is 10:1. Professors are highly qualified and experienced. Most of the professors use projectors to teach, and they come with their slides and teach students. We know our curriculum before the beginning of the semester which is quite helpful.

I would rate 4 out of 10 for faculty members. I suggest you not to argue with argue with any faculty in DTU. Most of them don't know how to teach except for a few. They have the knowledge, but I don't think they know how to study. Our lab assistants are very rude. Admin block is one of the worst things in DTU. As far as the course curriculum is concerned, we have a standard course curriculum like any other engineering college. But extracurricular activities are not included in the course curriculum. Now, from 2018, DTU might have started encouraging extracurricular activities from the 1st year.
