Remarks
The college is overall an above average one with a average infrastructure and better education. It is located in a remote area which is a negative point. But it it well connected all over the city with more than 30 buses.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty up to date and the syllabus is revised. The exam structure is 2 internals, 1 online test and 1 semester exam per Semester per subject. The labs have one modals and one end sem practicals.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities in SREC are much better compared to many other colleges in and seeing Coimbatore. The internals are often provided and stipend will be available on select internships.
College Events
The Fine arts club has few events like Swagatham, Elatio and Annual Day. Q'Zenith, The Quiz club of SREC conducts 10-11 quizzes annually which includes both intra and inter college quizzes. There are also numerous other clubs that conduct many events all throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure at SREC is lower than all other top rated colleges in Coimbatore. The fee is very much affordable. And the management is pretty lenient on late payment of fee. The bus fee, hostel fee and college fee are all affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college students can avail all the government and inter NGO provided scholarships through college. Also the Alumni of the college provide scholarships for students who got in through Merit and have good CGPA.
Campus Life
The labs are really good in SREC. The sorry club is one of the finest in the city and zonals level. The facility for sports and the training is very good. The coaching staff are well equipped and experienced.
Alumni/Alumna
The SREC alumni network is one of the best networks. They are constantly in touch with the college and provide the students with all sorts of help and scholarships. The college also had annual events for alumni.
Admission
Got into the College through the management quota. I had 83% marks in 12th. I paid the fee for the management quota and joined the college privately. It's not through the merit list or the entrance exams.
Faculty
The faculty are well trained and are pretty experienced. Some of them are Ph.D holders and all of them are ME graduates when previous experience from other colleges. The college has a good set of faculty members.
