Remarks
Since I am in the final year of my engineering, overall, the college is good. Instead of spending money on Algeria, I would suggest lowering the fees for general category students. Also, placements should be increased.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering is a full-time 4 year curriculum that includes basic subjects of maths chemistry and physics in the first year and some basic engineering subjects. After 1st-year core subjects are there as per the engineering stream.
Placement Experience
College provides enough opportunities for internships but placements are low for engineering students. More placements are provided for computer and IT departments. The placement officer is very much helpful.
College Events
Many events are conducted and celebrated in our college. Alegria is one of the best and biggest tech fests of our college which is the biggest in Navi Mumbai. Many sports events and technical workshops are also conducted all around the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the general category are a bit expensive ranging between 1 lac to 1 lac 20 thousand. SC/ST and other backward classes have a lesser fee. Also, tuition fee waivers scheme is there for the economically backward class.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarships or loan facility is provided by the college as far as my knowledge but one can enquire about the same at the office or the registrar of the college. TFWS scheme is currently present for EBC students.
Campus Life
Many extracurricular activities like technical workshops, student body events are held. Labs are good, clean, and well equipped. The college has a dedicated ground, gymkhana, and basketball court for sports activities.
Hostel Facilities
Not opting for a hostel since I reside in the same city. Not enough idea about the hostel infrastructure and facilities but there are separate hostels for girls and boys. Girls hostel is very close to the college while boys hostel is 4-5 kms away from the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very much helpful to guide us well sometimes even better than the teachers. Alumni sometimes conduct robotics, tech workshops for junior students. Various senior student council bodies are also present.
Admission
I got admission through the centralized admission process (CAP ROUND) which is held considering the marks of the MH CET exam. This exam can only be given after the 12th. Diploma students can also get admission to the direct the second year of engineering based on the diploma cgpa/percent.
Faculty
The faculty is helpful and good. The teaching-learning process is fairly good but not excellent. Lab assistants are very much help though. All professors are highly qualified and some have done Ph.D. in their respective fields.
