Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very broad. Each subject has around 2 to three courses spread around 3 years. There are mandatory industrial training and a major and minor project in Final year of the course. There is a minimum 75% requirement for engineering courses.
Placement Experience
Placement is good but it depends a lot on the student and his/her profile. If you have good knowledge and have completed your project work diligently, then you will certainly land a good job.
College Events
There are many technical, cultural and management fests that are organised in the college. During these fests, there is huge participation from all departments. We all look forward to these fests whole year when they come its a time to rejoice. Some big celebrities and singers participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For engineering course, the fees are very low. I think it is the lowest in the country. For first-year it is 11500 rs and for the next three years, it is 8000rs. So, basically it is around 40000 rs for four years, which is very less. No, there are no additional charges and college provides transparency in fee breakup.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I have not opted for any scholarships. But university offers a lot of scholarships to students who come from underprivileged backgrounds.
Campus Life
Campus life is lit. There are around 15 to 20 girls in the class of 80 students, which is a very bad gender ratio. There are many student/dorm parties, workshops that are organized by all departments almost regularly. There are student diversity and student from all religions, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation study in college.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very strong and everybody is connected with everybody. This helps a lot in getting internships and jobs.
Admission
First I appeared for IIT - jee mains exams, which is conducted in the month of February. After the results, I also filled the forms of Jamia BTech when they came in the month of March. The form fee is 700 rs. In the month of May, Jamia released the list of selected candidates, then I took admission after submitting relevant documents. The list is based on cut off marks released by Jamia
Faculty
Each subject has around 2-3 faculties and they teach different part of the subject. Then there is another teacher who guides during lab. The quality of the teacher is not uniform. Some are very good and have an ocean of knowledge of the subject while some (few in no.) are not up to the mark. Lectures are industry-specific and there are industrial visits also.
