Second phase of life:Engineering

Positive:Once you get enrolled to this college,you start the process of getting placed from the very first day,faculties work really hard. Negative:Too strict for a college,you cant leave the college campus once you are in. Too harsh attendance criteria.

I got myself admitted to computer science engineering department,there are so many departments available in the engineering fieldsuch as the information technology department,electronics and communication department,electrical engineering department,civil engineering department. There are total 8 semesters in 4 years,and in each semester there are 2internals. In the final semester there is grand viva and project.

We were the first batch of the college,and more than 600students got placed out of 850 eligible students,which is clearly great,this year i heard,that number of job offers crossed 800 which is a remarkable feat. College also provides internship but mostly they are the paid ones.

There are many events that revolve around the whole year. We have a freshers party organized for the fresh students i.e the new batch,the teachers actively participate to welcome the new ones,we got tech fest,and a cultural fest in the winters.we shouldnt forget about Saraswati puja.

My fees structure was Rs40,000/semester,there were total of 8 semesters which totals to Rs 3,20,000,which is the standard fee structure for any private college in West Bengal. I think its a bit expensive with respect to the government colleges.

I got the loan education from Punjab National Bank and my college approved of it,without any hesitation,they do not provide any scholarship. They wont provide one with anything for free,but it really takes a lot of time to get any work done regarding the bank issues with the college.

We do have a small ground in front the college,we do have common rooms,where table tennis board,billiards, carrom boards are available for the students to relax and enjoy. We do have the college's football team as well as the cricket team,the players are selected by trials by the seniors and the coaches.

We do have a whatsapp group that connects all of us to the college faculties which we call the official group,and an unofficial group created by the students,other than this no network is there to connect the students.

I got admitted on the basis of Joint Entrance rank,it can either be the West Bengal Joint entrance or all India joint entrance rank.The college has now organized an entrance exam of its own i.e Iem jee to get admission here.

I got enrolled to the first batch of the college,what they did is that they brought up all the head of the departments of many reputed colleges,so that the strength of quality of faculty is enhanced.They are really pretty good,and will try to get the best out of you.
