Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Nit Jalandhar is very good. The course curriculum helps you to train yourself for different industries like process, power and automobile industries. It also helps you to make yourself competent in any research centre.

Placement Experience

The placements are good at NIT Jalandhar. Different types of companies visit for placements as well as internships. I got an internship at NPL (L&T) powerplant.

College Events

NIT Jalandhar celebrates many festivals and events like a technical event- Techniti. Cultural festival - Utkansh. NITJ Food festival. Bharat Dhwani - NITJ day. It celebrates festivals like Gurpurab, Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi, Eid, Diwali etc. It organises Athletic fest also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends upon your family income. It is divided into three categories. If family income of any student is less than one lakh the fee is 10000 per semester. If the family income of any student is less than five lakh the fee is Rupees 35000 per semester. If the family income of any student is more than five lakh the fee is Rupees 75000 per semester

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I have taken the study loan. I have taken it from Punjab National Bank. You need to have a good academic background and reputed college where you are going to study.

Campus Life

The campus life is very good. Punjab is a very major factor for good campus life. The is not any kind of gender inequality. Every person has the right to speak. There is a gym, Gymnasium, basketball court, football ground. Sports complex, music complex and many canteens.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, alumni are very supportive of research fellows especially. The assist them economically in their research projects.

Admission

First of all, you have to make your mind to do engineering. Then you have to prepare for the JEE Mains exam. You have to score good marks in exam. Then according to your marks and all India rank, you will get the college and branch accordingly. After getting your score you will have to fill counselling. The exam is in January and April and counselling is in June-July.

Faculty

The faculty of mechanical engineering department is very good and helpful. If you want any help regarding your course, project, studies or any personal help,they are always ready to do. You can contact Head of department at any time during the working hours.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

From four semester we start getting internships from various companies depending on student skills ,but regularly in 6th/7th sem we can ppo's pre-placement offer In cs department students are enjoying an average annual package of 17LAKH while in EC department, students are enjoying an average annual package of 13.5LAKH IN CS DEPARTMENT the placement percentage is nearly 91% while in ECE department placement percentage is nearly 97%

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
