Graduation and Post graduation from DBS PG college

The facilities in the college could have been better.For example, more no.of drinking water purifiers, clean toilets and more toilets, lab hygiene and devices can be restocked.If you want to give competitive exams, I recommend you to join this college.

Course curriculum isn't the best, but, is average.Classes start very late after the actual semester starts and practical classes are held even later.Exams are held based on choice-based-cum-semester system.

No companies come here for placements, I repeat, none.This college is just there for students who are preparing side by side for competitive exams such as NDA,CDSE,AFCAT,BANK PO,SSC and many more.This college is just like a resting resort so that you get extra preparation time for these above mentioned exams.

The college only celebrates major events like Independence Day, Republic Day, Holi and rest of the events include debates, art competitions, rangoli making competition, poster making competition, dance competition and singing competition.

The fee structure is very very feasible.You can complete your Bachelors in less than 15,000/- INR tops.It is a government college and that is why the fees is very low.The amount mentioned is including the examination fees for the last 4 semesters.

There is the option to avail a scholarship, but it is only for the backward class of students who have more than a fixed percentage in their class 12th.They have to maintain a fixed GPA for the rest of the course, or it is cancelled.Scholarships are also available for students from other states.

There are Inter University tournaments held at different colleges of the University.The games include football, basketball, hockey, baseball, volleyball, badminton, chess, table tennis etc.Apart from this students have a chance to enroll for National Cadet Corps(NCC) which gives a glorious opportunity for students to join the Armed forces.NSS, SCOUTS, ROVER RANGERS are also present.

There is no hostel present in this college.The NAAC had proposed the construction if a girls hostel but due to low grading, it didn't happen.The students from other states and far flung areas of our state live in rented rooms.

A very short no.of our employees are at high end jobs such as Army Officers, Navy and Air Force officers.The former Director general of the Indian Coast Guard was also from our college.Many Bank POs are from our college as well.Many soldiers, aircraftsman and sailors are from our college too.

The college sets up a merit list based on the cumulative marks received in class 12th(PCM for Science courses and overall percentage gor Arts Courses).If your name is in the merit list, you go to the college and submit some basic documents, pay the fees for the 1st year which is less than 4,000/- INR and you're enrolled.

The faculty is very qualified.We have teachers who have qualified tough exams and are very knowledgeable.Some teachers are excellent when it comes to teaching and communication with the students but some, not so much.
