Remarks

The college is very nice and the environment is very supportive to those who wish to study. There is a huge prospect for going to foreign universities and make a career in research and teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course work is a bit on the heavier side when compared to its counterparts IISERs, but you get to learn things.Labs are very well maintained and one of the bests. The research facilities are awesome. But in higher years, the pressure increases a lot.

Placement Experience

4

Internships are highly encouraged here.Almost everyone in my batch has done summer internships from first years. After completing the course most students prefer doing a PhD.Everyone gets a stipend of 5000 per month ic there CGPA is above 7.0

College Events

2

Cultural events are a bit on the lesser side, but the current students are trying to change that.We have a small scale fest called Udbhaba. The fest, eventhough has been cancelled a few times, we try to make some other intra Niser fest like Umang happen

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is very less.9800 per semester for general and obc.2300 for sc/st.This fees includes hostel fees as well. The food has to be boughg ftom canteens, which roughly comes around 5000 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Niser offers Inspire scholarship to some students and those who do not qualify get Disha scholarship. The scholarship amount is 5000 per month for both of them.Anyone above 7.0 cgpa is eligible for the scholarships

Campus Life

5

Gender ratios have improved from the past years and now it stands at 3:1.The students are from all over the country. The economic status of students vary from lower middle class to rich.Niser is a non political institution and does not tolerate politics in the premises.

Alumni/Alumna

Many alumnus have gone for PhD abroad and they are very helpful go students who wish to go abroad for higher studies. Many alumnus have been student contacts to current students who go to their universities for internships.

Admission

The choice was between getting into engineering or doing basic science.I liked to study and some after some reading about the college, i decided i will do basic sciences. There was an entrance exam, called NEST.My rank was 505 in the year 2017 and i got admitted in the first counseling.

Faculty

4

The faculties are one of the best researchers in the country with training in the best institutions in the world. The teaching style is very modern. They do not rely on just exams, but give exciting projects for evaluation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
