My college experience

The infrastructure and other facilities provided by the College is good. The faculties are good and caring. A great experience to be a student of Indian Maritime University. The non-teaching staffs are also treated well.

The course structure was pretty good. The last two semesters are focusing much on the research area and self-study. The exams and labs were sorts of chilled ones. It doesn't make you frustrated. The syllabus and course structure were predefined by an IAS officer and are very useful which has the effect of MBA (post-graduation).

Yes, our college provides internship opportunities. Mostly they are not paid ones. That is one of the great difficulty faced by us. Placements and job opportunities are not well in the College. Since we are the first batch of BBA, we are actually struggling.

There are very few co-curricular activities held in our College. We usually participate in the management fests held at other Colleges. Sports competitions used to be held every year. And competition with regard to the college day.

With regard to BBA, the fee structure is a bit expensive. There is no other extra curriculum held at the College. Its a sort of pure academics. It costs Rs. 50,000 per semester and there are totals of 6 semesters. It comprises only of the programme fee. Hostel and other fees have to be paid separately.

There are scholarships for students who score above 75% in the semester exams. It is a great encouragement for the students. The topper gets an amount of 40,000 and then 30,000 25,000 etc. Usually, the top 5 students get the scholarship.

The extracurricular activities held at College are too low. The female students are usually less in number as compared to male students. There is no politics in our college. Cultural clubs are there in college but it is not active. Sports activities are being held every year.

The hostel is great. It's of great infrastructure. The new building has been built recently. 2 persons in one room. The rooms are spacious with almirahs chairs and other facilities. A big bathroom is there on each floor which is common.

Yes, an active alumni network through the college page is there. The alumni usually talk about the value of the certificate offered by the College with the signature of the President of India. It is of international value.

The admission process was quite simple. Since after getting through the merit list, then the procedure was to submit the certificate and attend a simple interview. The other courses offered by the College was residential courses. Since I had a keen interest in the specialization offered by my College in regards to BBA.

The faculties of the College have to be appreciated. The time and effort they take to make the students comfortable should be praised. We have both permanent faculties and visiting faculties. Everyone is well qualified with PhDs and industrial exposure.
