Remarks
Being a Government College, it is one of the best choices for West Bengal students in engineering. It's odd location is the problem. Besides it, it is the best college In West Bengal. You never feel any homesick ness after entering JOLU.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering is a well known course. After the completion of the course, you are placed in different companies. You have to do internships during the course. Many projects, assignments, lab work are done in the course.
Placement Experience
Being an old Government engineering college, companies visit the college regularly. Most of the students are placed in IT sector. Some students are doing Government job. Rest are doing higher studies.
College Events
In our college, Technical festival- SRISTI Cultural festival- JECLET hold on. In SRISTI, the entire north Bengal comes to compete. Robowar is the main event of SRISTI. Whereas JECLET is the largest festival of North Bengal.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In civil engineering, around 37k have to be paid by one for 4 years. As one can see how less expensive it is. Whereas in private Engineering College s, around 4 lakh have to be paid. So, choice is yours.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are a student of WBBSE, you will be provided scholarship by Government of West Bengal. Besides it, TFW, Half tution fee waiver, Full tution fee waiver is also available for the financial backward students.
Campus Life
In non core departments, girls are many I. numbers. But,in core departments, they are rare. Labs, library are well equipped. There are no shortage of it. A healthy atmosphere are always maintained by seniors and juniors.
Alumni/Alumna
There are a healthy relation between juniors and seniors. Alumni network is also very strong. For them, students are always profites by jobs, internships, scholarship etc. Teachers - students bonding also strong in JGEC.
Admission
After cracking WBJEE, we have to go through it's councelling process. Through councelling, we opted out for engineering Colleges. After the allotment of the college, we have to admit in the college in the given time duration.
Faculty
The professors of the college are highly qualified. They are equipped with knowledge as well as work experience. They are always ready to help the needy students. They are also helpful in your day to day life.
