Remarks
The college is overall good for studying engineering.But if you look at the present scenario its still a provate college at a prime location you will get job in it industries from here but not in core industries from this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curricullum was then according to wbut now makaut.The course curriculum is just more than average.Every year there will be two semesters as it happens in a b.tech degree college and also foyr internal exam in a year
Placement Experience
Placement mostly consists of information technology companies such as tcs/infosys/l&t infotech.the placement from this college is decent in the it streams but not good in the core departments.in core departments mostly sales engineer requirements come.
College Events
The college helds every year a cultural fest named as utopia.Many techincal conpetition are also held there such as robotic competition/few artists come to entertain us.also there are many inter college competition schedules.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is feasible. 45000approx per year semester fees.there will a total of 8 semesters.so the total fees will be around 360000 and also some other basic fees u can keep in mind the fees will be around 4lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes i had got a scholarship due to my wbjee rank.I had got full free of my semester fees.There are few scholarship opputunities you will get only if your score in class 10 and 12th is good and abv 60% and also ur fathers income should be less than 2lakhs per annum.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is well maintained there is no discrimination against girls.for sports they have one one football court and a small ground to play for.labs are good even the mechanical and automobile lab is constructed by volve eicher.
Hostel Facilities
I have not opted for hostel as it is near to my house.but have visited the hostel many times it has only one hostel the favilities here is more or less average and one can also get pg nearby the college at low rate.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is that not much the best as the college has openend just in 1999.But the seniors are helpful if you need any kind of help they are always ready to help you with everything possible.
Admission
Through west bengal joint entrance examination.my rank was 6300 in wbjee and selected mechanical in mckvie liluah during west bengal joint entrance counselling.There was no interview during 2011 when i entered the college
Faculty
Few of the faculties in the college is very good, few are good and also few are bad.overall the faculty is good amd some are highly qualified and a few faculties from iit/nit also.Few departments need to develop their faculties
