Remarks
It is located in kaatankulathur very near to Chennai. You can enjoy a lot. Communications will be improved because mostly students will communicate in English only. You have to be focused in studying because lot of diversions available which will spoil your life.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure and syllabus and all followed as per Anna University rules and regulations. Other than university exams monthly tests will be conducted for all the department. It will be considered for internal exams.
Placement Experience
No internships sponsored by College. Students have to take care by themselves if they are willing to do. Placement decent not too good. Very limited companies came. Most of the companies took distinction students only. No opportunities for average students.
College Events
None of the events supported by administrations. Only studies. No extra curricular activities. No sports events. No culturals. They don't have separate grounds for Valliammai students. All the facilities will be dominated by SRM students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Little expensive compare to normal Colleges. If you are hostler you will be paying min 1lpa for that. College fees (tuition fees) are as per Anna University regulations. No additional charges expect books and placement charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't get any scholarships. Some students got scholarship. It's given by government. Admin people will call through circular to apply for the scholarships. You have to submit application along with parents salary certificate.
Campus Life
No extra curricular activities. Only symposiums are conducted every years. That too with students involvment. department head have to take initiative to do that. Otherwise it will be omitted. No sports events conducted.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini network are developing in recent times. Stills Students are not showing any interest. Initially they conducted event for 5 years of batches. So people didnt pay interest. Now they are conducting year wise.
Admission
After completing 12th Std I have applied for engineering in Anna University counselling. Based on the cut off they called for interview. Through interview I had selected this College. My cutoff was 189. Now your cutoff should be above to 190 to get seat in this College.
Faculty
College had enough staffs. Some of them are gold medalists. Only few staffs taught practically, rest all followed old techniques. For engineering they should be more practical. Staffs are all very friendly in nature and supportive. They will be ready always to resolve the issues and clarifying the doubts.
