Disciplined College

As there are many rules, some of which i find that those are good for students but some rules are like burden and pressurise the students. I would like to list one rule for example : No one can laugh in the class , there shouldn't be a smile on your face otherwise you will be out of the class and can't attend the class anymore.It seems like laughing is a crime. Sometimes i personally feel that i am not in a college it is just a jail and we are treated as we are kids. This college is somewhat like a school where we have to gather in the morning everyday for morning prayer and national anthem. I feel that I have again joined a school which is even smaller than thw school from where i have passed CBSE 10th board.

Our college has plenty of rules and discipline which are to be followed by everyone. Our course is updated which includes recently emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things,MAchine Learning etc. After returning from college i do nothing but sleep, it's very hectic and feel exhausted.

Our college is known for 100% placement and it promises the same. I have talked about this to seniours and their opinions are also same.As college gives a lot of opportunities for internship and start-up. As i am in 1st year and i haven't gone for any internship till but college gives opportunities.

Every weekend there is an event in my college and i have participated in few of them. These are small events ,but in one cultural fest 2 celebrities were invited to perform before students. One technical fest is yet to be organised which is the annual fest and most enjoyable.

At the time of admission i had to pay ?1,41,200 which is the fee for whole first year and have to pay ?65000 per semester. It is feasible for middle class families but poor families can't afford, they will require a loan.

Our college is not providing any scholarships as it is private, it only takes money from students and do not return back as scholarship. I belong to Bihar and there is a scheme for education loan where they give loan at minimum interest of 4% per annum. I applied for loan there and got.

Our college do not allow to form students union and parties. As there are students chapter, society and clubs where students can join. There is 1 girl per 5 boys students, that's the gender ratio of our college. There is no any case regarding ethnicity,race,religion,gender or caste. All works together.

No I don't opted for hostel, I live in rented flats which are good in condition and it better than hostel. I live with my friends whom i know clearly about their mindsets and can blindly trust them. For every month i have to pay ?2300 for the rent and about ?50 for electricity bills which is according to unit consumption.

Seniors are very helpful, they motivate us to maintain a consistency in studies for the better placement. At the time of admission i took help from alumni to know information about the college. Even they are helpful at the time of placement.

Since 5th standard I decided to be a software developer and so chose to preapre for IIT but I disqualified and came to IEM after qualifying WBJEE exam. I had no option instead of choosing IEM college for my further studies so I had do this. For admission I registered for counselling and got CSE in the very first round. I took admission and looked for a lodging and fooding for my next 4 years.

There are various types of faculties, many of them are strict towards students and treat students as their enemies but some are kind hearted. Honestly speaking all twachers have plenty of knowledge but have not the skill to make students understand the concept.
