Review of N.I.S.T.

Positive remarks about my college are that the fees are much affordable according to the facilities available in the college. And the negative remark is that the college's infrastructure is a little bit old which can be improved.

The course curriculum is perfect for technical knowledge. It helps students to gain knowledge about the different elements of their course. In 1 year there are 2-semester exams and 4 class tests. And for each subject, there are 2 quiz tests and 1 surprise test.

Our college brings us a large number of companies and organizations to use that have good annual packages. The highest annual package in our college this year was 18. 75 lakhs per annum and the lowest varies from 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. An internship facility is not available in our college but students can indulge themselves in research programs and different projects.

In our college, two annual events are held and they are:- 1. Sankalp, which is the tech fest of our college. In Sankalp different clubs in the college hold different events which are well enjoyed by the students. 2. Waves, which is an annual fest before the end semester examination. In this event, students take part in events such as dance, singing, etc.

Fees include tuition fees, transportation fees, book fees. The fees for the above is 1,16,850 and the hostel fees and the mess fees are excluded from these fees and they are paid separately which cost around 30,000 to 40,000 annually. According to me, the fees are feasible, they are not too expensive.

There are many scholarships given by the college and some of them are:- 1. Book grant scholarship, in which students have to maintain a minimum attendance of 85%. 2. Economic hardship scholarship 3. Scholarship given to students of states like Bihar, Chattisgarh, etc.

Extracurricular activities include sports like badminton, basketball, cricket, football, lawn tennis, table tennis and dancing, gym, and singing. The labs contain very good types of equipment and in some labs like mechanical engineering, labs contain very costly machines.

I have not opted for the hostel, but according to my knowledge hostel facilities are very good. The washrooms are healthy and hygienic and they are well maintained and rooms have options with air conditioning.

The Alumni network in our college is good. At the time of Sankalp, alumni come to the college and share their experiences in college and in their job fields. Seniors are very helpful in providing information about the college as well as in technical fields.

I got admission by appearing JEE MAINS. And then I applied for the college at the BPUT website. At the registration site of BPUT first, we have to select the college of our choice and then based on my JEE MAIN rank, I was selected by this college.

Faculties of college are best at their fields. Most of the teachers explain things in a brief manner. And if the students have any sort of doubt regarding the subject they can ask the teacher personally or make a call to them through their contact number.
