The college curriculum is based on the industry level demands and are made in a way to ensure the students are well prepared to face the vicissitudes of real life problems of the industry with ease.There is a good compitetive spirit amongst the students and their is healthy compitetion.

Many multi national companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Amazon, Adobe etc visit the college every year.The average salary of students in the academic session 2019 was 13 lakhs and many are offered pre placement offers.There are ample opportunities for getting internship as well.
College Events
Bitotsav is the cutural event of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra which is held annually in February.Vajra is our sports festival where teams from different institutes visit.Hack A Bit is our technical hackathon which offers a cash prize of 50 thousand ruppees and is a 3 day long hackathon.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees of 8 semesters is approximately 10 Lakhs.The fee of the semsters in Birla Institute of Technology Mesra varies from 1.5 lakhs in semesters 7 to 1.2 lakhs in semester 2.Overall, the facilities and placement opportunities provided by the college compensate the fees.Apart from this we have to pay mess and hostel fee as well which is 15000 ruppees.

Birla Institute of Technology Mesra offers concession in fees to marginalised sections of the society like members belonging to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes.Apart from this scholarship is also provided on the basis of the semester results if the student is economically weak.

The labs are good and give the students glimpse of the industry demands.Sports facilities are good and there are large fields for outdoor sports like football,cricket,basketball, volleyball, and apart fr this there is a world class gym to ensure students remain physically healthy.

The alimni network of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra is amomgst the largest in the nation as this is a very old and reputed institute.Many distinguished alumnis have left their mark in different arenas and many spheres of life.Notable amongst them are Mr.Anjam Lahiri and Hemant Soren(current CM of jharkhand).
Admission
I got admission in Computer sceince stream of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra on the basis of my JEE Mains score after getting a rank of 7500.I wanted to do engineering in computer science as i was fascinated by this field.
Faculty
Most of the professors are Phd holders and are very helping.All the teachers in Birla Institute of Technology Mesra have extensive experience and always encourage us to take part in projects And also share their experience with us.
