Best College and Best Course in Urban Sector

College is overall very good with very good infrastructure as well as experienced faculties.

The course is industry-oriented and students are involved in activities like an urban learning experience. The summer internship is very useful where we got a base for our placement. 3 weeks of the mandatory Urban learning experience (3 credit course) where we go to some government agencies to work. It is a unique course in the urban sector and demand is very high.

Placement is very good in the college and the average package is around 6.5 lakhs and the highest package in my batch is 9.3 lakhs. companies are Sharda group, convection, Recity, Tata trust etc. A case team is involved in campus hiring and college is very supportive. Almost 95% of students are placed every year.

ARCS summit- A research conference, Innovation- A student event, Samavesh is the placement event for industry interface, Xambooree is the college fest, Xavier meet is the alumni meet where we got a chance to talk to our seniors, Uphoria is the dance and singing competition.

The course is quite expensive but the opportunities are very good which justify the fee structure. Some additional cost is already added for placement activities which are quite helpful to plan placement events like Samavesh. It is a good course which is in very high demand in the industry.

I have opted an education loan under the student loan scheme through the central bank of India. Application process is very easy and got the approval in a very less time. The interest rate was quite attractive.

Campus life is very lively. There is so many sports event including Xavier premier league. It is a cricket league like IPL within the university. Grounds are available for football, basketball, volleyball and long tennis. The college overall culture is very good.

Hostel facilities are good except for some food test issue. It has all basic decent amenities but the scope of improvement is always there. It has power backup, water RO, cooler, Wifi & LAN connectivity along with washing mechanic and laundry facility. Students can opt for AC rooms also based on Single or double occupancy.

Alumni network is very strong in this college. Our seniors were very helpful in placement and overall guidance.

I have applied for UMG course through XUB website and then got a call through email for an interview process. After that, I have received an admission call through the mail and they provide almost 20-30 days to pay the fees. Architects, Planners and engineers can directly apply for the course without any CAT/ZAT/XGMT score. For other backgrounds, XGMT is required.

There are 15 faculties (8 core + 7 from another department)in our course along with 4 to 5 visiting faculties from recognized universities like CEPT & SPA. The average age of the faculties is 45 and 80% of them are PhD holders. The lecture is industry-oriented and highly specialized faculty are involved in the subjects.
