Remarks

There is no negative remarks for my College but I do want to mention that our College is currently know for its cultural festivals much more than academics. The College should try to focus more on the academic aspects as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is good however I feel the newer topics should be incorporated in the initial years of College. For instance, we have chapters on AI and ML in the last year. We have to do projects using that concept from our pre final years. So they can incorporate such topics in third year. The labs and exams are always conducted on time and College is punctual regarding exams. The labs are well equipped however I feel its not able to cater the needs of all the students. For project purposes, our College has limited number of resources which is the only flaw in the labs.

Placement Experience

2

The placements are good and almost 100% placement is provided. TPC or training and placement cell of Rait prepares us for our placement well before the season starts. However there is no internship with stipend provided in the College. That's something I personally don't like about this College.

College Events

5

Horizon, udaan, tech fests and many more. Our College basically has 3 types of festival aiming at 1)Technical events 2)Social events 3)Cultural events For the technical team, there are over 5-6 departments each under their respective branches. The events under technical team are Hackathon, ntpp, coding, creative development, workshops, etc. For social events we have social wing. Each year they organize a UDAAN marathon, tree planting initiatives, providing food and cloths to the needy and many more. For Fun events we have SUC or student union council who organize Horizon, our main cultural event. Many singers and actors are invited for days of madness.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Each batch has different fee structure. Mine batch has a fees of approximately ?93,000 each year for a period of 4 years. This keeps on increasing with successive years. Currently the fee stricture is just above 1 lakh per year. In comparison to other engineering Colleges, our fees is feasible. Also the College has many scholarship opportunities as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship wherein the fee structure is 10k INR per year. You need to fill a form in the College office to avail that benefit. This was introduced recently. They will consider the academics of a student, the yearly income of parents before giving the scholarship.

Campus Life

5

There are many workshops each month by all the departments. Around 5 workshops are conducted each month. Some require us to pay them. Some are for free. Certificates are given. Top individuals from industries are invited. Gender ration : for 2 boys there is 1 girl in our batch. Tolerance : our College is one of the best examples on how equality is top criterion of any event be it cultural events or academic events. Our College is the most tolerant College I have ever been into. There is absolutely no politics whatsoever.

Alumni/Alumna

I am not in contact with previous alumni however I am in contact with the seniors. One of the senior was very help. When I got my admission : He gave me pdf of all the notes that I would require. He taught me the importance of scoring and staying away from bad influence.

Admission

In my time, there was two entrance examination available. 1)JEE Mains 2)MH-CET I got my admission though CET exams. There was a list of Colleges and streams out of which I had to chose my preferred stream. Once I got allotted from my marks all I had to do is go to the College and submit my freeze letter. They asked me to submit all my documents and then paid the admission fees. This was the admission process.

Faculty

3

Most faculties are excellent. The way they teach is really great but sometimes some faculties chose to read presentations. When asked doubts they are unable to clear it. However some professors help us even outside their working hours. They will help us in our projects even though we aren't under their guidance. Overall review : Screening should be done and only best professors should be kept.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
