Entrance Preview
My admission to MAIT was through IPCET, or the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. MAIT being one of the top engineering colleges of Northern India, and especially in Delhi, the rank to be obtained is within the top 2000 out of the one lakh students, who take this examination. I opted for Electronics and Communication because its curriculum provided enough scope to explore sides of both electronics, as well as computers.
Internships Opportunities
Unfortunately there are no direct sources of college, which officially provide opportunities of internship. However, the teachers here do have sources and people have got into small and big firms for internships with stipend between 5000 to 15000 rupees in average.
College Events
There are many events that are organised. Robo Wars, Coding Competitions, College Fest, Sports Day, Basant Utsav, Annual Day.The participation excitement is huge but only few are able to make it due to internal crisis, lack of funds, and many other reasons.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the college was Rs 97500, which falls into the average category, considering other private colleges these days. Other than that we could have a Semester wise Book Rental from the college Library with a one time payment of Rs 4000.While I never lived in any hostel or PGs, I can say that PGs are readily available, with girls and boys separated. It's worth mentioning that MAIT doesn't have a girl's hostel.
Fees and Financial Aid
All banks offer loans for the college, but there isn't any special scheme for the college.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in an engineering college is as always -abysmal. But the students share a great bond with each other. Also a very good thing about the college is that there is almost 0 % ragging of new students. There are a few societies, like CSE, IEEE, Industrial Interaction Cells which conducts events, and seminars, and industry visits. The college also has tie ups with a few guest professors and scientists from foreign universities and Indian organisations like DRDO.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a great Alumni network called as MAIT Alumni Society, which conducts frequent seminars, and doubt clearing sessions for students, who have doubts or questions regarding a particular field of study.
