Best for chemical engineering

Best if you want to pursue chemical engineering. That too with a completion of degree just under 1 lac rupees. It's alumni network is too big and the placements here are increasing every year with the average package of 7-8 lacs. I would definitely recommend this one for the Chemengers.

This institution follows the course curriculum as same as the IIT Kanpur for chemical engineering which we already know is one of the best. All the labs in here are well equipped and almost each subject is accompanied with a lab work but the schedule is well balanced not to make it too hectic. Exams are conducted here at the end of each semester along with 2 midterms from which scores of best of the 2 are considered.

A huge no. of companies visit us here for the internship as well as job offers. Some of the major ones are UOP Honeywell, Reliance Industries Limited, Bechtel, Cairn India, Jubilant Lifesciences, etc. Every year the average package here is of around 7-8 lakhs with over 75% placements of each batch. And the one's that are not placed either go for higher studies or startups.

No. of events take place every year here some of them Cyanide l, its our annual cultural fest. Aanwik, it's our annual technical fest. Their pages can easily be searched on Facebook. This institution also conducts Seminars, Student Exchange Program, Alumni meet, etc. Recently the student exchange program was held between this institution and university from New York.

This part may blow you away because this institution provides best value in return of investment as the annual fee for pursuing chemical engineering from this institution is just around 19-20k. Yes, you heard it right. So basically we get to complete our 4 year degree in just under 1 lac rupees including the examination fees and some other charges.

Scholarship are only provided to the SC ST or economical weaker students as the fees is already too less. But the students from above mentioned categories can easily apply for the scholarship and get that.

Here, we have all kind of active clubs like drama club, dance club, singing club, sports club, oratory club, etc. We also have Enactus, IICHE, IPI, etc. Enactus here very well known as we have won so many awards under this organization. Also as this institution is department of Panjab University, so no of opportunities come to us related to every club mentioned above. You can literally google about how many events are organized in the university every year in which very popular celebrities also perform and visit us.

Hostels are good, not the best as they were built long ago. But yet they are so affordable and very near to the college. Hostel fees is around 12k for a year. Rooms are 2 seater and slightly small. Seats for the hostel are limited and are alloted on the rank basis. Although, PGs are also available right in the vicinity of college which cost a little much than hostels. The charges of PGs are around 5k per month including food. Note that hostel charges doesn't include cost of food that is to be paid every month as mess and canteen charges and that depends upon how much food you eat.

Alumni network here is the strongest of all. Being one of the oldest has it's perks. We usually conduct 2 alumni meets every year to get in touch with every one of our alumnus. Our alumni are everywhere like Abhishek Upmanyu-the comic artist, Former Global CEO of the ExxonMobil, etc etc the list is too long and I don't know all of their names.

Being an oil and gas sector enthusiast, I always wanted to pursue my career in the chemical engineering and I found this institution on the quora for being the best in field of chemical engineering. Admission here requires qualifying the JEE MAIN Examination, then on rank basis seats are alloted for an individual. This procedure is done through JAC Chandigarh.

Faculty here is one of the best an institution can provide. Many are known professors working on their research papers, thesis, etc. Some of them are even hold medalists medalists of their batch from the same institution. They all are well qualified to teach about the core subjects.
