Remarks
Positive is that college is located at a good location and academics is above par but the college has failed in making a almuni committee and connect with its passed out students and also there are few teachers who don't know anything and they need to be removed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is good but not very challenging as more focus is on the therotical study rather than practical inputs. But the semester exam in TICT is very good where the inviligation is very good so whatever a person scores he can say that I studied and got that irrespective of many WBJEE college's where cheating is allowed. Also the college needs to focus on getting new and innovative projects every year post 2nd year so that more and more technical areas can be covered and thus help in learning a lot better.
Placement Experience
The placement is ok not that good. As opportunities are less but if a person works hard and is a bit serious then can surely get a good company but the packages offered by the companies visiting the college are not offering high packages.
College Events
The events that happen are only 2 Freshers and Tech/cultural Fest once in a year. That too is not that great as we need to beg and fight with the college authorities to get a good fund to organise a good and amazing fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feaseable(when I was the student). But as I have heard there is hike in the fee structure but there is not that much hike so now it depends on the student and his family whether it is feaseable for them or not.
Fees and Financial Aid
They offer loan by PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK, but i didn't opt for it. But the college has a good name and it won't be that difficult to get a loan from the bank if you opt for your career at this college.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is very good. Have an amazing cafeteria both for heavy pocket and pocket friendly foods. They ambience is also good with good options to play games like football. Cricket and Football tournaments are organised here every year.
Alumni/Alumna
The almuni connection of the college is very weak and therefore is hardly any almuni community which is formed or a platform available. The college needs to work on this, as it has failed totally on this front.
Admission
Got entry via WBJEE. First we have to fill the WBJEE college preference as per the wish and the department. Then we have to wait whether we get that college or not which can be checked on WBJEE website. Once we get the college then we go and submit the documents and DD at the WBJEE reporting centre and then we get a date when we need to report to the college with all the relevant documents.
Faculty
The faculty is good but still can be more better. Few teachers take pride in teaching and that was really appreciable in my department. Few teachers needs to be changed as they come with a book and notes and seeing that they teach and preach.
