Great college for engineering in West Bengal

There's nothing negative about the college. The college follows extremely strict standards for the students. Coming and going out of the college is only allowed during the specified time. Canteens are available inside the college and we must eat from there (unless you carry your own food) and the quality of the food is decent.

Various courses like BTech, MTech, BBA, MBA, Hotel Management, Law etc are available in this college. Every department has its own qualified professors who are quite cooperative and helpful. Every semester we have an examination and in every semester we need to attend two mid-sems.

Almost every student from each deployment gets atleast one job offer. Major recruiters are TCS, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS, Sankalp Electronics etc. Internships are offered by many organisations, BSNL, All India Radio (AIR), AAI etc are few to name.

Frequent cultural and technical events are organised by the college. Workshops on contemporary topics like Internet of Things (IOT), Web Development, real life coding etc are covered quite frequently.

Fees is quite affordable. As of mine it is Rupees Sixty Thousands per semester only, plus an examination fees of Rupees One Thousand Only. Admission fees was around Twenty Thousands ( to be paid only once and some of which is refundable I guess, but I'm not sure).

I don't have proper knowledge on the subject. But as far I know scholarships are available and well performers in the exams are offered some kind of scholarships. Education loan is available and the finance department of the college can be contacted.

College has its own photography club, drama club, sport clubs, placement cell, singing and music club etc. Extracurricular activities are on strong focus in this college. Inter college football and cricket tournaments are arranged frequently.

I didn't opt for any hotel. But college has its own seperate hostels for both boys and girls. As heard from my friends, hostel is decent in terms of fooding but quite strict on discipline. Also many students prefer to go with the PGs available in the surroundings of the campus.

This college is quite new as compared to other colleges. So the strong alumni network is still under construction. But the seniors of the college are friendly and helpful. There is literally no ragging or anything such in this college.

This university conducts its own entrance examination named IEMJEE. Students are selected on their performance in this examination. Also students are selected on the basis of their performance in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and JEE Mains.

Every department has its own highly qualified professors who are quite cooperative and helpful. Me being a student of Electronics and Communication Department can proudly say that I got a group of motivating and helpful teachers who guide me at every point of academics.
