One of the best in Delhi University

It has the NAAC accreditation 'B', new infrastructure with modern facilities. The faculty is excellent and boasts of everything good that is required in a college life. The library here is one of the largest of any Du college sprawled in 3 floors.

The course was well structured. We had regular classes including labs. Since it's a science subject, the syllabus was research centric and updated with the latest fields where botany is being used, such as bioinformatics and biostatistics. Exams include internals and semesters following the usual norm of most institutions.

A lot of companies pick students from the college basically for the b. com students. Placement cell of the college takes well care of it. However not all departments have campus placements but can go for internships.

There are numerous fests and activities that take place here around the year. There are inter-college and intra-college both. The annual fest Kalrav is held in the odd semester along with the departmental fests and the exhuberent events of the various societies.

The fees is feasible as it's a govt funded college. Varying in the range of 15000 -35000 pa. Different courses have different structured fees as per their requirements. Such as the Computer Application course had annual fee of 35000 approx. While the other departments had less.

Several scholarships are offered to the meritorious students on the semester basis. There are offered in semesters and then annually which are declared on the annual day of the college. Fee concessions are also available to the students of reserved categories.

There are year long extra-curricular activities that take place and students participate enthusiastically. Several fests, workshops, day-to- day activities, camps, seminars, lectures are held for students to explore and experience. No student is barred from attending any such activity on any discriminatory basis.

Hostels are equally well managed. Since the building of the college has been newly inaugurated, the admin building, canteen, college grounds, hostels, gymnasium etc are well accommodating to the needs of the students. There are Pgs also around the college vicinity.

The college does have a alumni society which conducts alumni meets and the network is well maintained. In the last semester, students are asked to fill up alumni forms with a submission of minimal amount.

Admission was basically on the merit list as the procedure followed by Delhi University. For few courses the University now keep entrances as the criterion for admission. No interviews. The usual procedure that follows is the cut-off list is declared, you have to look up in the list that meets your requirements, collect the listed documents and go ahead for the admissions. Prior to that you are supposed to register on the Delhi University portal.

The faculty here is keen to teach and adept enough for the students to grasp the subject firmly. Apart from academics they are encouraging for extra-curricular too. There are around 9-10 departments in the college with well maintained faculty.
