Life at SIT

If someone want to kickstart their career in technical world he/she should definitely get admission in this college. life at SIT is both joyous and careeristic. i feel proud for being a part of SIT. Its a good life in here.

The course which i opted for was 4 year bachelors in technology in the stream of information techlogy. Daily lab and extra class facilities are there. There are two internal test in each sem and one final end semester exam which is external.

100% placement assistance is being provided by training and placement cell. Third year onwards placement gets started and each month MNCs like TCS,IBM,WIPRO,COGNIZANT,INTEL,THOUGHTWORKS and many more come to hire students from our college and besides other companies also come to hire students. Besides they also conduct summer and winter internship and training in our college building only for the students.

Every year a 5days tech and cultural fest organised by the college students where students from other colleges also come to participate. For the students who are very much interested in coding,a event named as HACKATHON is also being conducted.

Fees structure is as per the industry norms and which is absolutely feasible. Different fees for different courses the student want to opt for. Other facilities for economicaly backward class are also there.

Loan facility is there for those students who cant afford the fees all at once and as well as scholarship option is available. The student with a scholarship will get leisure in his/her regular semester fees as well hostel fees.

Every year a intra college cricket tourament is being conducted by the college itself. Gymnasium,library,basketball court,badminton court are there for student recreation. Time for the extracurricular activities have been setup after the classes only.

Hostel facility for boys and girls are there. The hostel for girls are highly recommended. It is much safer and cheaper. Food is better than any other hostel,all time electricity and water supply is available.

Seniors are very much helpful in terms of academy. they always have been guiding their juniors how they should move forward with his/her career and always helps with the notes and books. Alumnies also keep in touch with the newly admitted students so that they can know more about the college and its infrastructure,cultures.

Through counselling in the basis of my rank in wbjee. it took 3days to complete the whole admission process from registration to getting the subject of my choice. After completion of the admission process within 1week class started.

Students are being taught by the highly qualified and educated faculties here. Each department has a huge number of faculty plus class mentors are also there and lab assistants are for the lab classes only who will be guiding the students during there lab session. every department has its own HOD.
