Remarks
It's overall a very college with some requirement of improvement of infrastructure but the college campus is so beautiful and mesmerising. The area around the college is not that good but the campus is very large and organised.
Course Curriculum Overview
the course structure is good but some changes are necessary like the technologies being used by the industry should be promoted more and labs should be made more strict and also professors should cooperate with students in case they are needy
Placement Experience
In my time the placement and job opportunistic were very less and adjust no internship opportunities, we gad to find out own way to do any internship, although few professors helped. Professors are very cooperative during placement season.
College Events
Cultural fest is Rebeca, people from all over Kolkata visit, it's quite famous among the college youths. Technical fest is Instruo, people from different colleges come to participate in various events organised. And various other fests are also organised with vast participation
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's quite feasible, i had to pay 40000 tution fee per semester so as compared to rest of the A grade government colleges it's quite less, 2000 per month was the hostel fees, and mess bill depends upon each hostel
Fees and Financial Aid
Many of our alumnus are giving scholarships to deserving and needful students, their is a society gabesu which takes care of this. Top performers of each department are eligible for this and they are selected accordingly.
Campus Life
Sports department is very active in our college, there is cricket ground, football ground, basketball ground, Badminton court, apart from sports there are various clubs like dance club, debate club, drama club, music club etc and trust me they are really good and motivation for any individual to showcase their talent and learn too
Hostel Facilities
Infrastructure is not very good but it's continuously improving, fees is quite less as 1900 per semester, as it is the oldest engineering college in India so there are old buildings which have been renovated to make it habitable, but it's not that bad too
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very very helpful, they are just like our friends and guardians at the same time, if you are good with then then they will be good with you. And adjust network is not that very strong as of it had been then placements would have been over years.
Admission
Through JEE Mains exam and then counseling process and got the branch as per my ranking. I had options to take other branches in NITs and IITs but due to my rank i went getting the branch of my choice but i opted this college also who gave me computer science
Faculty
The professors must be very highly qualified and they must be having very good knowledge of the subject they teach but this is not for all. most of the professors are good at their teaching and are also supportive but there are always few who don't care about whether students are learning or not, they will just complete the course.
