Quality education with low investment and high placement opportunities

Our college is one of the most reputed colleges in our Region and it is very well managed by the central office. I can proudly say that I'm a part of this college. The only bad remark about college is it is very strict about attendance.

The course curriculum is very relevant to the current industry standards. We are taught by the most experienced and qualified staff. The course covers all the important subjects of Information Technology such as Machine Learning, Database Management, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Theory of Computation, Computer Organization, Cyber Security and many more. Various programming languages are also taught which make us very confident in the interview process because the questions are mostly based on the programming logic and the screening round is mostly of programming test. Many industrial visits are organised by the various departments of our college. The visits include the relevant companies and places were students are told about the importance of various divisions of the company. The Mechanical Engineering students visited the Ekalahre Thermal Power plant in Nashik. Civil Engineering students visited the nearby construction work of bridge over Mumbai-Agra highway. The computer students visited the Banglore Campus of Infosys. This visit help in increasing the knowledge of students regarding the practical implementation of their study.

As I told, the main reason for me taking admission in this college is the placement provided. Almost 60-70% of total students are placed every year in various industries. Some students want to perceive higher education and hence don't opt for the placement activity resulting in lower number of placement percentage. For Information Technology, various companies that visited the campus for placement drives are Josh Softwares, Mindstix Software Labs, Tata Consultancy Services, Persistent, Cognizant, FinIQ Consultancy, Pratiti Technology, Wipro, Jaro Education, Infosys, Montran Corporation, MyGate, Dark Horse, Blue Pineapple, Aress Software, Winjit, Eternus Solutions, Indian Navy, ABB, and many more. The steps vary according to the companies. Generally, there are 3-4 rounds in each drive. The first round is mostly screening round where the general aptitude test is taken. After this second round consists of a programming test. The third round is of a technical interview and last round is of HR or managerial interview. Our institute is very dedicated to placements. There is a dedicated Training and Placement Cell of our college which invites various companies and the placement process is carried out there. From the first year itself the Student - training and placement officer interaction begin.

As I belong to the creme layer category of OBC, I can avail no scholarship or free ship that is provided by the Government of Maharashtra. I have opted for an education loan of 220000 from a local bank. I submitted the fee structure of my college to the bank and availed the loan.

Campus Life is okay as we don't have a large campus and also there are 3 more colleges in our campus. The college has a large ground and there are lot of trees in the college campus which makes our campus very lush green. The gender ratio varies according to the departments. In our department, it is 1:1 while in the production department it is 5:1 boys to girls ratio. Students from all economic families are present in the college. College is equipped with a Gymkhana which provides many sports activities such as cricket, football, volleyball, tennis, basketball, carrom, chess, table tennis, and gym. There are various clubs in the college where students take part.

I have not opted for the college hostel as the rooms are very small and compact. The mess of college is also very bad compared to the fees that is taken by the hostel. I have opted for a private hostel where the charges are 24000/yr for residence and ?2200/month as mess charge. We can change the mess any time we want. Many mess options are available nearby as the locality holds a maximum proportion of students.

The alumni network is very strong. The college recently arrange a grand alumni meet of all its alumni. Many alumni regularly visit the college to give an idea about corporate life. They give tips to survive in the industry. Our department has an iteron activity where many industry professionals mostly our alumni visit and give a brief info about their company and a corporate job.

After the MHCET results were declared, I filled the DTE form with the preferences of institutions. Then I got this college in the first round itself. I chose the freeze option and confirmed my seat in the Information Technology branch of this college. The admission process was done on 6th of August 2016 and the college started on 8th of August 2016. The reason for choosing Information Technology was clear, to pass out with a degree as well as a job in hand. We have a 100 percent placement opportunity in our branch. About 45 students out of 60 have been placed in various renowned companies. The highest package has been 7.5 LPA and the lowest being 3.3 LPA. I chose this institute for the following factors - 1. KKWIEER belongs to Savitribai Phule Pune University. 2. KKWIEER is closer to my native place than other colleges. 3. KKWIEER has low fee compared to other colleges. 4. KKWIEER is the best college in the Nashik Division. 5. KKWIEER provides high placement opportunities. 6. Lush green campus of KKWIEER. The admission process was very simple. We had to fill up the admission form in our respective departments and then provide all the documents. After verification we proceeded to pay the fee in the form of Demand Draft. This way my admission was confirmed in the college.
