Remarks
The college never thinks about the students. As during the time of exam, one who has not cleared fees, is not allowed to give exam. This is a total bullshit. Students must be given inportance and respect. Afterall, we make the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is an autonomous college. The selected subjects are good to increase your overall knowledge in different fields. But it solely depends on the student and not the teacher. So in order to gain knowledge, one must study themselves.
Placement Experience
Yes, our college provided us basic placement oppurtinities in the college. Some of the companies were infosys, cognizant, wipro that came. Some other small scale insustries also came. But it solely depends on luck. If you have good luck, you will get placed.
College Events
There were various events like technical events like technofest, cultural like celegance. They are amazing. the only best part about my college. every year, we just kept waiting for the fest. It continues for 2 to 3 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee was 1 lakh per annum. for 4 year. So 4 lakhs for 4 years of B.tech. And 65k for hostel which increased 3k every year. Also 15k for training each year which they never gave. So almost 8.5 lakhs spent in total. However, the fee has increased now.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. None of the scholarships were provided to us. No marks, nothing helped us get any scholarship. They just wanted money from us. 15k extra each year for training. And there was no cur for loan avaibality. If someone is unable to pay fees, they were not allowed to give semester exams.
Campus Life
The sports was excellent. We had the best basketball team of orissa. Everything was equal for boys and girls. We had sports day which was again a good day for many students who love sports. We had volleyball, basketball, cricket matches and mostly we were the winner among other colleges.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was good. But the food was pathetic. Very bad in taste and quality. The chapati was made of rubber i guess. And the taste for every food was same. They used to put whatsorver masala in all the food as if they were experimenting something. The menu never changed despite complaints.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. It was a good experience. They become very successful now and came to give us motivational speech. Told us about career and work life balance. Told us not to take pressure aboit jobs. Everyone gets placed eventually and they are right.
Admission
It was among the best ranked college of those times. I was selected through the councelling process. I had opted for 2 other good colleges of that time as well. But it was good that i was selected for this college. Although, many good teachers have left the college now.
Faculty
The faculties are so so. And as i told, many good teachers have left the college when i joined the college. Although, good teachers come and go. There are still some experienced and good teachers who have a good hold in their domain.
