My course is B. Tech in metallurgical and materials engineering, which is the best branch I would say as there is no work load as compared to other branches. Its totally based on 11th and 12th physics and chemistry. Their is a advantage of this branch if anyone is interested in the field of research, as there is a huge scope of research in this field. With foreign internship opportunities along with government funding is an add on achievement. Scoring good grades is not so difficult, one can easily score good enough just by paying attention to the lectures. The course curriculum is best with five subjects per semester while other branches have 7 compulsory subjects. Along with interesting labs the practical knowledge is enhanced among the students. The load of exams is a myth in this institute as there is only one mid sem exam (of 30 marks) followed by an end term examination(of 50 marks) in each semester. 20 marks is internal marks which is based on the assignments and performance during lecture, which is very easy to score.

The placements in NIT Jaipur are best in whole rajasthan. Many big companies visiting our campus every year to offer jobs to students. Companies like GOLDMAN SACHS, FLIPKART, SALESFORCE, VEDANTA, ORACLE, BAJAJ, PHILIPS, MARUTI SUZUKI, AMAZON, JP MORGAN AND and many reputable organisations visits to offer jobs. While for my branch, If anyone has knowledge of coding, can take placement in software companies as well. Many students placed in non core as compared to core companies. The core companies visited in large amount too. The highest package for my branch is 12-13lpa while the lowest package offered is around 5-6 lpa with an average package of 7-9 lpa. There are many internship program conducted by the institute itself. Students get chance to grab experience in big industries and organisations which is offered to students in their 3rd year. Along with gaining experience and add a factor on their CV, students get stipend also which is around 15000-30000 INR per month, depending on the organisation. The internship is done for 6-8 weeks and eventually the interns get pre-placement OFFER (PPO). Here on the basis of the work performed by the interns, company give them job before the placement session of institute starts.

There are many technical and cultural events to occur where lots of people are involved in the institute. The students are the only ones to organise any event. The technical event called SPHINX is one of the dominating event where many inter college competitions are organised. The price money of these events are huge with lots of sponsorship from big franchise and brands like redbull, domino's and many more. The list of events consists of robowars, roborace, coding battles, Web development, app designing etc. Huge participation from other institutes makes this event more interesting and competitive. There are many cultural events organised in NIT Jaipur consists of dance battles, singing competition, drama and many exciting games. The biggest event of NIT Jaipur is BLITZSCHLAG where huge amount of participation of students from different colleges can be seen. This 3 day event creates energy among the students all the time. The main reason of this is techno night and celebrities. Many big celebrities like ARMAAN MALIK, JAVED ALI, KK performed in our institute and cherishes the moment. Stand up comedians like PAPA CJ and ANGAD SINGH RANYAL also performed here. Many international DJs fills the energy with their music and enhance the DJ night. These three days are the biggest day for everyone to enjoy and take a break from studies. Fashion event is one of the most awaiting moments which is judged by big personalities every year. Sports festival is the most enthusiastic event happening in the institute. InterNIT competition of almost all the sports are organised with full sportsman spirit. Also every department or branch organise their own events every year called DEPARTMENT Day, where freshers show their talents along with seniors for their professors and give them a day to remember. All the discussed events have DJ night with full of dance and music along with proper dinner of great variety.

The fee structure is quite feasible for the students. As it depends upon the financial condition of the student and his/her category. The fees for SC/ST candidates are 16670 per semester with hostel and mess fees of 30000 combined per semester. For students with family annual income less than 5 lacs have institute fees 37000 along with 30000 for hostel and mess per semester. While for students with family annual income more than 5 lacs have to pay 62500 institute fees and 30000 hostel and mess fees combined. It's seems to be quite expensive but the package offered to students after 4 years will cover all the expenses in 1-1.5 years, which is a good return on investment.

There are many good scholarships offered to the students on the basis of their schooling performance, domicile scholarships are also provided, scholarships for students of every state is offered to the respective students which depend upon various factors like family income, Category, performance in school etc. While there are many scholarships opportunities for the rajasthan domicile. Many scholarships program are organised in a period of time. There is a facility of loan also by the institute to pay the fees.

There are lots of extracurricular activities in the institute. Many opportunities are given to students to perform randomly what they want, what they know, anything like poetry, Mimicry, its like open mic where other students gathered to encourage the volunteer. Several dance competitions of different format, singing competition, drama battles among the students are some of the organised activities in the institute. Many sports activities are organised to enthusiast the students. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, athletics, gym and many more are organised in a competitive way where huge participation of different colleges students can be witnessed. InterNIT sports festival, Malaviya Sports Tournament (MST) are the sports events of the institute. The institute has one of the most important thing which are labs. These labs have facilities of highly skilled equipment and technology. Materials Research Centre (MRC), which has high cost equipment for research purposes is a great advantage for metallurgy students. Other labs for metallurgy students has machines, equipment for different purposes for enhancing the practical knowledge of the students.

Yes, I've opted the hostel. The infrastructure structure of hostels are amazing with great facilities. There are total 10 boys hostel and two girls hostel among which the mega hostel AUROBINDO have capacities of 900 rooms. Every hostel has a facility of free WiFi and LAN with high internet speed of 2-3 MBPS. RO purified drinking water facility along with heater in clean and tidy bathroom are some facilities provided to the students. Every room for first year students have capacities of 3 students with proper space to each consisting table, bed, Almira with proper ventilation. For other year students every room is for single student with enough space. There is a beauty in every hostel as there are gardens with good plantation around. Facility of volleyball, badminton and basketball is provided in every hostel for students. Cycle stand is in every hostel for the hostellers with full security of the home guards. There is supervision of cctv in every hostel for the security. Every hostel has its own mess facilities with 4 time a day meal along with different and great varieties.

The alumni network of NIT Jaipur is very strong as many alumni help current students. There is an alumni association in which funding or any other help is done by them. For the development of institute or for any event organising, alumnis are always there. The seniors of institute are also very helpful in their own way. By guidance regarding anything like project,notes, process for foreign or domestic internship, taking responsibilities seniors helps a lot. There is no issue of ragging at all in institute. Every senior are like mentor to their juniors, where any student can seek help and get support from their seniors.

I got admission in this institute on the basis of JEE MAIN rank. The student have to fill up the choices of institutes along with the respective courses in a priority order according to them in which they seek to take admission. Then after filling the choices, institute with specific branch is alloted to student on the basis of their rank. This counselling was conducted by JOSSA at that time which consists of total 6 rounds. After I got allotment I need to report to any NIT for document verification. After which a provisional letter is given to every student which has to be shown to the alloted institute for the admission formalities. Then some of the documents need to be submitted to the institute as admission formalities like JEE score card, 10th/12th marksheet, migration certificate, character certificate etc. Then after paying fees registration is being completed and I got admission in a NIT.

The reason for shaping a bright future of a student totally depends upon the teaching skills and knowledge of the faculties.
