Remarks

Please select some other college. The faculty and the senior management are a joke. No one really knows what they are doing in their own department and there's a lot of miscommunication within the whole college which hampers the productivity of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The Course curriculum is good but not flexible. Students should be able to choose what they want to study in optional courses, which comes predefined from the University. The Exam structure is is alright but the marking structure is a joke. There's no proper information and it constantly changes each semester.

Placement Experience

1.5

A few companies do visit the college for placements but really, the TPO only sends students to other colleges for pool placement cells. The TPO is a joke, he not only has a very creepy behavior, but also gets students in trouble for choosing not to sit for the placements he selected.

College Events

2.5

Sports events, Fresher's, Farewell, Saraswati Puja, Republic Day, Independence Day etc. These are few events that are celebrated in college. Although some of them are celebrated every year, a few events are often skipped due to budget cuts.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is Expensive. From the facilities provided by the college, the fees is really high for a normal student. There are ways to get scholarships as well, so it isn't so bad for students who are eligible for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers Half Ships for students who come from a poor background and also according to caste. Halfship halves the tuition fee of the students in half. There are also other scholarships which are related to female students in West Bengal under the West Bengal government schemes.

Campus Life

2.5

They are alright. People get attendance for participating in extra-curricular activities. The ECE department hosts great events with sponsors, whereas the CSE department has no clue about whatsoever they choose to do.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are helpful. Senior students generally are all eager to help the juniors out. Everyone forms a friendly connection with each other. They also hand down their notes and help with college projects whenever they have the time.

Admission

I had to give a joint entrance examination, and on the basis of the marks and rank I was shortlisted for admission. Then, I had to pay for the admission fees and caution money and additional semester fees to start college.

Faculty

1

The faculty could be better. Teachers shouldn't be just reading out from notes and later unable to resolve any questions with proper answer. Also, few faculty member aren't even qualified enough to become a professor.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
