Remarks

Everything is quite peaceful if you wanna have a normal college life. If you into sports, no opportunity here. Placements, for now, are not that great for mechanical.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college has a good curriculum and an organised teaching methods. The knowledge required for the examination is very well delivered by the teachers. Following there instructions will definitely fetch you marks. The practical knowledge provided by the institute is not that great. You could even say nil. For my batch, there was only one industrial visit organised. All the teachers just stress on marks.

Placement Experience

3

For the current batch of 2016, there were only 2-3 core companies that had come for campus placement. Though there is a lot of IT placements it's tough for a mechanical student to clear the interview of an IT. The placement cell of the institute is one of the best department. But the mechanical department itself hasn't much of a part or support for the placement.

College Events

3

There are quite a few events organised. Though the budget is quite less. The students organise a really good event with every resource available. Fest. Kabadi, Ethnic day twice a year, Department fest, Cricket, Fashin show. The campus being quite small, it's tough to organise many events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got my seat through CET. So the fee was 75000. You will have to pay them only through DD in the name of 'The principal BIT'. There is no additional fee as far as I know. The college provides details about the fee if required. The fee through CET was quite affordable. But now they have increased the fee probably.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no scholarship provided by the college. There are quite a few government scholarships you can opt for based on caste, income and merit.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus is quite small. There is no ragging, so as not to worry about that part. Parties are self-organised by students not in the campus. Most of them are Hindus. Sports team are not that great. Mechanical has sufficient workshops. Labs are well equipped. With few broken apparatus.

Alumni/Alumna

Since the college is quite old. There are many famous or successful people who have graduated from this college. Getting in touch with them is a though.

Admission

Mechanical course in Bangalore Institute of Technology(BIT) had good placement. I got 6400 rank in CET. Hence the most suitable college for my rank with a good placement is BIT. The first step for admission was to apply for the college, I desired through CET portal. There were three rounds. I got this college in the third round. Next the documents will be verified by the CET cell and they provided me with an admission order. This admission order was submitted to the college with the DD, equivalent to the fee.

Faculty

3.5

There are around 25-35 teacher for my course. Which is quite alot. You find teachers of all age. Half the teachers hold a PhD. There are very few teachers who have exceptional skills in teaching. These experienced teachers have good knowledge about what they deliver to us. Not all teachers can be a good teacher. So, there are few teachers who are not very good at what they do. Most of the teacher lack practicality.
