Life at WIT

The life at WIT was awesome and we enjoyed it very much.I think the education provided in college is very theoretical not that practical so we should improve on that.

I had given MHCET and I scored around 130 out of 150. I opted for WIT because it was the only college available in my city.

We usually have 45-50 courses in the undergraduate curriculum.We were having 6 to 7 Subjects each semester and 2 semester every year.For 1st 3 semesters the curriculum for all engineering streams will be same. We were having 2 to 3 electives subjects in final year of engineering.

I have not done any internship in my college so I don't know much about this but what I heard from other is that they get stipend of 10000 rs per month.

The placement id my college is good during my time 80% of the students from my class were placed in good MNC companies.Companies like Cognizant, HSBC, Infosys, TechM, Persistant, Tata ELXI, Tata Tech came to our Campus. They offered package of 3 to 3.5 L per annum.

Every year WIT organizes a national level technical symposium in which hundred of students from different colleges from various parts of district participate.About cultural Events The activities start with celebration of

During my time, The fee for one year was 35000 RS including teaching fee, development fee and library fee. Apart from that 1000 Rs every semester as examination fee.

The college is for Jain Minority so they provide some financial assistance for some financially weak jain minority students and also loan facility is available from most of the banks.

We enjoyed all other time in our college except the weeks in which exams are held and we seriously do. Hanging out with friends in the campus, sleeping in class, giving proxies, mass bunks, taking computer games seriously, infact very seriously, watching movies through out the day, waking up at noon, life here is completely different.

Actually I was local guy so I was not living in hostel but I used to visit hostel frequently and hostel was good. The rooms were clean and in each room 2 to 3 cots were there.The fee was around 10000 rs every year. I don't know about the food.

All my seniors are working in top MNC company not just in India most of them are abroad now and some of them are at very top positions like manager n all.

The undergraduate engineering is of 4 years and 8 semesters. Every semester 6 to 7 subjects. Each subject is having theoretical paper of 100 marks and 25 marks for journals and 25 marks for external practical examination.

The faculty was good. They are very helping and supportive too. The most of the senior faculty teachers were having PhD and Mtech degree. Good faculty is absolutely important - to not just teach you some technical stuff, but tell you how to learn yourself
