Overall Experience at Universal Business School, Karjat

Overall, the campus, the faculty, curriculum, seniors and hostel amenities make it a better choice over any other B school.

The curriculum is well planned, making it easy to grasp. Starting with basics and going into depth for all subjects. Subjects are in accordance with the course opted and include practical training through assignments and research works. Assignments and research works are also taken in the form of presentations, which help to build skills.

Placements are good and this college has the best placement opportunities for marketing students. Overall placements and internship opportunities provided by the college are good.

All religious, as well as national events, are celebrated in the college. Events like Independence day, Republic day, Diwali, Holi, Freshers party, all are fun to attend. The main events are R4R, college annual fest and also MSR (Midnight to Sunrise).

The fee structure is feasible for students. Different courses have a different fee and mostly the fee charged is not high. International courses have a fee little higher than normal PGDM but overall curriculum and exposure provide by the International courses make the fee worthy.

I did not apply for any scholarships or education loans but the feedback from students who have opted for scholarships and education loans is good and according to many, the process is easy and small.

The campus is large, it is away from the city and so life is peaceful and different. the gender ratio is around 60:40 for males and female respectively. The campus is big and has amenities like a football ground, games room, gym, basketball court, etc.

Hostel rooms are good with the attached common area. Hostel rooms are big enough if one opts for single occupancy whereas rooms are satisfactorily good for students opting for double occupancy. For boys Hostel, there are duplex buildings with 4 rooms on each floor and also a common area on each floor. The common area has sofa sets, dining tables, water purifiers, etc which makes the hostel very different from other college hostels.

The overall network of alumni is strong and seniors are very helpful. Seniors act as mentors and guide us in our course specialization.

Came across Universal Business School through the reference of a friend and through online reviews. The faculty, course details and excellent infrastructure are few of the reasons for choosing UBS over other B schools. The faculty at UBS well experienced in both education as well as industry, which makes the learnings from them both interesting as well as useful.

The faculty is well experienced with industrial knowledge and hence, helps us build the skills necessary for the corporate world. Each day has about 5 lectures of around 1hour 15minutes and for the rest of the day, we are busy with assignments and projects which are very interesting and fun to do.
