Cotton University

The college is very friendly, and donot let you miss your family. We have much freedom like wearing whatever we liked as it didn't have uniform. We can use our phones or laptops inside our classrooms for the study works. The teachers are good. The staff is also friendly. All over it is good. But few things need to be taken care of like the poor condition of the toilets and some classrooms are very dirty.

Yes the course structure was good. In my department we didn't have Lab facilities or studies related to lab. But the general course we had like physics and chemistry did have lab studies. We more or less use to have hectic days doing one class after the other.

Not really. We didn't achieve any placements then, which was obvious because my degree was just a bachelor one. Yes they do provide internships. Many students have done internships and also paid. I personally didn't attend any internship

Many events are celebrated here. Like the saraswati Puja, vishwakarma puja, teachers day obviously, cotton college fest, freshers, mathematics day, pi day and many more and many particular days which are known in the respective department.

My admission fees was 4600. This included semester fees, library fees, laboratory fees, and all sorts. My fees was almost 4600 per semester that is per 6 months for 3 years. Also form fillup every year was done if we had arrear.

Scholarships are given, for the SC ST and OBC castes per semester. The amount is moderate. I never applied for one. I donot have any knowledge on the loan facility. Maybe there is not loan facility in our college.

There are a good amount of students from all the genders. It has to be either 1:1 or 1:2. Workshops are created. Acting, music, dramas which evoke our morals. Students from almost every background study here. I have seen Assamese students, bodo, mizo, karbi, marwari, bihari, muslims and many more and everyone live and study happy in a healthy note. Politicians are does formed from our college. The students union work hard for the benefit of the college.

Yes I did opted for hostel but i didn't get a seat. I used to visit my friends there. The hostel is good and spacious. But the building is kind of old and worn out in some parts. Security is good. Food is tasty but not so hygienic

I have interacted with many seniors of the college. They were indeed very helpful. I was even taught by one of them for free when I found the paper tough. Exchange of question papers and books are also done. And they have encouraged us alot by their good advice.

I always wanted to study in Mathematics. So I chose it. And Cotton University is one of the best colleges in the state. I was admitted to the college via merit list. There were two days for the merit list students because there were a lot of students coming from all around the state.

The faculty is quite good as a whole. But if we take individually some of the teachers or professors are not upto the mark. Maybe they are very well educated but they lack the skill of speaking in the classroom. Majority of the teachers were good.
