One of the best private college in west bengal

The college is situated in the heart of salt lake kolkata which makes it very easily accessible. The classrooms are well equipped and well maintained. The labs are also very good. It is a good private college in West Bengal to study B-Tech.

The course itself is quiet good. The alumnis are also well knowledgeable. The study materials provided by the university for the course are also good. There were seminars held often which are quiet helpful in career and knowledge.

Multiple MNC's like TCS, Deloit, Microsoft and other reputated companies come for hiering fresher's every year. The placement rate is quiet good. Most of the students get placed in IT companies. The students from core stream also have good opportunity.

Every year there are several events to participate. Tech fest also known as Vivarta is a well known event where teams from various college participate. Also there are fresher's welcome event, annual event, ESD and various other events to be part of.

The fee structure is different based on the type of ranking. For West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam the fee was very feasible but for All India Engineering Entrance Exam and management quota the fee is a bit expensive.

There is both scholarship and loan available for the courses. For internship the number is few and loans are provided by college itself but in return students needs to attend as lecturers in the polytechnic classes belonging to the college once they reach 3rd or 4th year

There is gym, swimming pool, different labs for different year students. The computer lab was specially huge and could be used to teach lots of students from different stream, year and batch all at once.

I did not opted for hostel. But as far my knowledge the hostel was quite affordable based on its location. There were double or triple sharing rooms and separate hostels for both boys and girls. The food was not so good but it was ok compared to the price.

The seniors are very helpful. There is a anti ragging committee dedicated for the welfare of the students and both the seniors and alumnis are part of it. Even the teachers and seniors from different batch are also very helpful.

I got admission through west bengal Joint entrance exam. There were lots of options to choose from but based on the reviews by other student I took admission in this college. Though it was new college but there were good reviews which made me choose it.

There were alumnis from various reputated colleges who often came as guest lecturer. The department heads are also highly educated and knowledgeable. The teachers are also very expert in their area of work which help a lot for the students.
