this is how NITs are.

environment is really good. students are very helpful. no extra pressure of studies. but some professor are really arrogant. but if you manage to study for 4 years you may fetch a very good package. campus is total green and surat city where college is situated is a very nice place to live.

5 days a week our college runs. its actually chill though. two exams in a semester midsems and endsems and two quizzes. course is well designed. it covers almost all the topics asked in GATE or IES examinations. and if you're interested in research you can ask your professors to help you out.

placements are good. almost all the big companies come. many non core companies come too for business analyst or data analyst. We van get research intern under professors for 2 months of summer. a stipend of 5000 is given to interns.

kashish - a freshers welcome party usually held in last October. it's a 2 days event with many fun events. Sparsh- its our annual techno-managarial event. its a 4 days events. in days there are many game and activities and some technical competition and at nights there are singing, dancing, celebrity night.

SC and ST category students are free. for General and OBC students the criteria is if father's income is under 1 lacs, you pay no fee. if income if under 5 lacs then you pay one-third of total fee. and for studnets above 5 lacs income they pee the full fee. the course fee is 65, 500 per semester.

top three students of every branch are awarded scholarships. and no other scholarship available. for loans one can get it from any bank. SBI has its branch in our campus and SBI easily gives loans to NITs students.

gender ratio is 1:7 for girls and boys. due to less girls, we girls get so much respect and attention here. campus is very safe. Student from all the States can be found here so we get to learn about different cultures. many clubs are here according to one's interest. like if you arr interested in drama, music, dance you can join CHRD. you're interested in english quizzes, debates then LAC is there. want to do something technical Drishti will help you. so we get everything

Mother teresa bhavan is girls hostel here. it has around 900 rooms and single rooms. we pay 35000 as hostel rent per annum and 33000 for mess fee per annum. hostel infrastructure is quite good. cleanliness is maintained. 900 rooms are enough for girls because not many girls opt for engineering.

seniors juniors relationship is very good. no ragging in campus. seniors are very helpful. many alumni talks are arranged for guidance. alumni who have reached on good position in their lives they come to share their experience and motivate us.

IITs, NITs are dream for some and that's why Kota has become a hub for JEE preparation. there are two exams JEE mains and JEE advanced. first you clear JEE mains and if you are able to secure a good rank then you get to choose NITs according to your rank, also, after JEE mains paper you're eligible for JEE advanced and if you manage to secure a good rank in this too then you get to choose from different IITs.

I'm from electrical branch. faculty is quite strict and no mass bunk is allowed. some faculty is really quite good but some are like we wonder how they got a chance to teach in a college of national importance.
