Perks of being a BITian

At the beginning the college will seem like a handful because first year schedule is the most hectic of all. After that things would get little smoother. The administration is a little poor in operation but in the end it would be all good.

Every semester consists of 2 exams on every subject. Firstly we have the midsems of 25 marks then 15 marks of internal assessment and then finally the endsems of 60 marks. The lab exams are held just before the endsems. The labs are just as chill as the teacher incharge but mostly its all good and we learn a lot there.

The main fests held are:- Pantheon is the techfest held in our college. Every year we have a different theme for it. Several technical competitions are held in it for a period of 3 days such as robotics competition, coding contests etc. followed by a DJ night every night of the fest. Students of our college as well as nearby colleges participate in it. Bitotsav is the cultural fest held in our college. The competitions held here are of a cultural nature but some technical contests are also conducted. During the night, DJ Night is held. Students from our college and nearby colleges participate in it.

The fee is quite expensive In computer science per semester fee is 136000 approximately. Mess and hostel fee combined is atmost 20000 per semester. The entire food and electricity is included in it. So every semester we end up paying an amount close to 1. 5 lakhs.

The GP Birla scholarship is the most important scholarship given in my college. It is given after every semester based on the GPA scored by the student as well as their family income. So that proves to be quite benefitting. As per the loans, its given by the banks who would be present during the registration. So students can apply for a loan there

Various workshops are held within the college held by various clubs both technical and non technical. There is no biasing based on Gender, Ethnicity, Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Politics And Economic Status. Every workshop is open to all and every competition is open to all. The quality of teaching is quite good in the workshops since they are taken by senior students.

Yes the alumni network is really good here and you would get a lot of help in off campus placements even in huge companies such as google or facebook. The companies which generally does not come for campus placements start coming because of our alumini network.

I took the JEE Mains exams. I got a rank of 9010 and got CSE in this college. The admission process takes almost the entire day. The list of documents required were declared earlier. Firstly I had to report to my nearest NIT for document verification. Then I had to report to my institute for registration at some later date. That day would be quite hectic so be patient. The dates for both would be delared on the website.

The teachers themselves are mostly knowledgible. But some of them fail to deliver their knowledge. Some teachers however are very intuitive in their teaching methods. But in the end self study is something which would get you through the exams.
