The institute is huge with great infrastructure, lot of greenary, pleasent atmosphere and great campus.the institute is really a no.1 institute in Maharashtra for engineering. There are some negative points but the positive points overcome all these thing

I got admission through AIEEE now it is replaced by IIT mains, entrance exam for iits and nits. I had scored a decent score of 218 out of 430. Admission was only through AIEEE score no GDPI.

Company's do come but u should be a bright student to come under their sight. Many company comes for 1-2 months internship with decent stipend of 15-20k but only 40% students get a internships. You can arrange ur own internship by applying at various companies the institute help student a lot for such training and intership and one thing There is no rule of minimum intership like in IIT which requires minimum intership of 2 months.

The average package is about 6-7 lac per annum. Coal India, Reliance Power Shell, Accenture, Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, etc. are all regular hirers at VNIT. There are 2 types are jobs first normal job 2.5-6 lacs and second is dream job above 6lacs. If u get a normal job then also u can apply for as many company u can till u get dream job.

There are many college festivals some are aarohi-cultural fest, consortium -management fest specially designed to get an exposure to management world, axis - technical fest it focus on science and technology and various competition related to it and other are departmental gathering, institution gathering, freshers etc

Hostels are great 16hrs internet facilty, great infrastructures, clean toilets, nice ground, cooperative stores and high security all around. Hostel fees is in the range of 40kpa including mess. Mess is decent not so tasty food but they serve variety of things every day. The rooms are 4people of first two years next 2yrs all have personal rooms. 4 people rooms are huge and personal rooms are little smaller but comfortable.

Yes there are some scholarship for scholars and varies reserved category scholarship/freeship but I don't have all detail info about this.there is scholarship for ST SC student from goverment of India and also freeship for OBC students by GOI. Institute provide laptops to 20 student who are the top scorer in the entertarance exam ie IIT mains.

Campus life is great it groom student personality, mental ability and make student self deciplined.genter ratio is 80:20 male:female only in chemical engg.there are numerous no of workshop / activities on various topics/field. labs are huge with new equipment and devices. There are varies sports, competition played between various departments in institute gathering.

Senior students are helpful and understanding.alumina are at various large companies and organization u will get someone which belong to vnit at intership or at job or maybe at the time of ur interview. There is alumina meet every year which is organized by the institute to get interaction between alumina and present students.

Some professors are brilliant while some are worthless. Overall the teaching is good not excellent. All profs are highly educated with lot of knowledge and experience but teaching method is not that great also the lecture attendance system is highly stric
