Overall it's a decent college. If you have better options try for them. I would suggest you to take CSE, IT, ECE if you are really choosing this college for placements are great in them. Extra activities are ample to explore if you are active.

The college is under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University Of Technology and it follow their prescribed syllabus. The course is comprehensive. Labs are excellent with good mentors. There are 8 semesters, in each there is 2 class tests results of which get added in the semester grades.

Placements are much decent. Every year 80-90% students get placements from college from CSE,IT,ECE branch, whereas from core branches like AUE,ME,EE placements statistics are relatively low to about 50%. They provide interim internships as it's a part of syllabus to undergo a month's training. Overall i would say, it's an okay scenario.

There are various events and festivals which take place annually. The Cultural fest- UTOPIA, The Technical fest - PRAGATI stand apart. Except these, there are annual sports events, Technotica (Tech event for innovations), Brainrush (Quiz event organized by CSE Dept.), Infotechnia(Tech Quiz organized by ECE Dept.) and many others.

Approximately the entire course costs around 4 lakhs with 40-43k per semester. One semester means 6 months. For the 1st semester, admission charges are considered which raises the fee, other than that it's fixed. Also you need to pay exam enrollment fee for every semester which stays around 1.2k.

They might offer concessions on railway travel costs. Apart from this TWF scheme is applicable if you fall under the category, you will be heavily exempted from the fee which you are supposed to pay every semester.

Extra activities are quite good here. Yoga room, Table tennis, carrom, basket ball court, cricket cemented pitch and various other facilities are provided. The structure is funded by Kejriwals, seth of howrah area.

No i have not opted for hostel. Though i know few things about the facilities and arrangements. The girls hostel is situated inside the college campus but the boys campus is placed at a walking distance of 10 minutes from college. The facilities are good with strict warden.

The organise alumni meets and the college is well connected to them. They come and interact with juniors and give insights about the current job scenarios in market and how to prepare for the challenges.

Through WBJEE counselling. Once you get the allotment letter, report the college with a hard copy of it, rest they will handle. The security at the gate will guide you to the room where the admission head is seated. He/She will verify the details and your locked college. Further they will immediately register you in their new admission list.

Decent faculty throughout, some are very good with excellent academic achievements, where some are average. Teachers are much interested to take classes and impart knowledge as much they can within their time frame of allotted class.
